Revealed: Full list of HMV's 132 saved stores In case anyone is interested

l

The 132 HMV stores today purchased by Hilco UK for around £50m are revealed in full below.

Administrator Deloitte also confirmed to Music Week the nine Fopp stores saved as part of the deal, whilst 81 HMV outlets have been shut since January.

The group’s head office and distribution functions have also been transferred into the new ownership, securing 2,643 jobs.

Nick Edwards, Joint Administrator, commented: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of HMV’s UK retail business to Hilco UK.

“The sale of the restructured portfolio secures the employment of 2,643 staff, saves one of the world's most iconic retail brands and provides a solid financial footing on which the business can be taken forward.

“We wish the Hilco UK and HMV teams every success with the business. I would like to thank all those stakeholders that have worked with us during the administration, but in particular the staff, suppliers and landlords for their support in making this deal possible.”

Saved the two Norwich ones, I am surprised by this. Thought one would close seeing how close the two of them are.

I quite enjoy wandering around HMV. Rarely buy anything though.

I shall purchase something next time I'm in. ^_^

Perhaps if we all stopped buying things online for convenience more shops could be saved.

Online isn't always cheapest..
