The success in Ireland baffles me.

I'm not that surprised, they promoted a decent amount in Ireland, Hopefully if this is in the next reduced pack it could climb back in the top 10 in Ireland. Does anyone have the Irish chart run?

Oh, I wonder if it could manage to outsell Ego, I remember Ego being in Irelands top 20 End of year sellers! They really need a top 5 Irish hit though! Yeah they did The Voice final and a radio performance, it still managed to push them up 10 places.

 

It's all setting to be a good performance for Gentleman.

 

48 on iTunes (Combined #46th on iTunes) Hopefully it manages another week top 40, although it would need all the BGT/VOICE/59P songs to start dropping tomorrow. It's #31 on Amazon... here's hoping!

When is the next 59p batch out? Hopefully it is in it!

Looks like it will end this week at around 325,000.

I was convinced from its first week opening sales this would become their biggest selling single and possibly their first platinum selling single, now it looks to do neither. While i would have liked them to achieve new levels of success in terms of sales i am happy it is not their best selling single as their current best sellers are far more worthy of the title than what about us.

It will 100% become their biggest selling single, their only 25-27,000 off becoming their biggest selling single. (I've added on an extra couple of thousand due to Up being top 1500 for a while since the release of What About Us)

Combined The Saturdays are #46, although the BGT/Voice/59p songs seem to be starting to decrease, so here's hoping it manages 1 more week.

Up left the top 100 with 274k and the top 200 with more or less than 294k. Now it has sold around 345k.

 

Songs do sell out of the top 100.

I think it's just been released at a strangely busy time. I mean, they were #1 on iTunes for eight days then suddenly Ant and Dec knocked them to #2 and killed their #1 effect and then we had huge artists with much bigger airplay than them (Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Pink) all hanging around, we had Daft Punk shooting to #1 from nowhere, the two Margaret Thatcher songs, The Voice/BGT/59p songs rocketing up the chart every week and since The Sats have done nothing else to promote it it was always bound to fall.

 

I'll admit when it started off it's second week as #1 on iTunes I thought it might have became a mammoth hit and went platinum with ease, but it's still done REALLY well. It's just annoying that so far it's sold 1/3 of it's total sales in it's first week.

Guys can we please stop moaning about What About Us' chart run? :( It's done REALLY well so far! Sure, it's gonna have a big drop this week, but it's just being pushed down by several new entries. As someone else said, it won't stop selling the moment it leaves the top 100, it'll keep trickle selling I have no doubt. It's still gonna clear 400k eventually I'm pretty sure.
