Yeah you are right. In all honesty, I think LM have probably reached their peak. Unless they uncover some monster track.

Sats and the Wanted have certainly peaked now, its just interesting to see how long they can sustain the decline. The Sats could probably manage another campaign like this one, or they may decide to just do NGU release full throttle, then announce a Greatest Hits/Tour and split in the winter like JLS did. Same for The Wanted.

I agree that the wanted may split in the winter but I don't see it happening just yet for the saturdays. :)

Hopefully not, guess a lot will depend on how NGU does, but unlike many bands, the girls genuinly love being together so hopefully they will turf out a few more singles yet :)

It's so difficult to compare the two groups because the circumstances are so different.

Little Mix were on the biggest television show in the UK for months. They won the show, got an instant #1 single and then had the buzz the next year of "X-Factor winners returning with debut single" and stuff. Radio were hammering them because they were a new act and they were making good tunes. They had X-Factor to perform on and they have Simon Cowell backing them. Not only that, but they have a connection to the biggest musical act in the world right now One Direction. Every time there's a video of Zayn and Perrie on YouTube, it's reaching millions of One Direction fans around the world. Same with pictures of the two. Even when there's a video of "Perrie Edwards discusses relationship with Zayn Malik", it's reaching all those One Direction fans. Millions of 1D fans around the world know Little Mix because of Zayn and Perrie, and obviously most of these fans will have checked out Little Mix's music hence why Tumblr/Twitter are obsessed with the pair and when 'Wings' was released on US iTunes, it shot up to the top 40 with no airplay or promotion. They're also still pretty young and "fresh" (like One Direction, Conor Maynard, The Vamps, Lorde etc) so they appeal to youngsters and radios aren't blacklisting them because they've been around for years.

Little Mix v The Saturdays is basically like One Direction v The Wanted in terms of success and profile (although the two girl groups on a smaller scale).

I do get annoyed when people compare LM to the Spice Girls though, you cannot compare. Hell you can't even put 1D in the same league as the Spice Girls, people forget that as social media opens up international markets far quicker than the graft acts like SG had to put in!

Exactly. One Direction were MASSIVE all around the world on Tumblr/Twitter/YouTube before they even released a single in the UK.

That's how I see it but I do think The Saturdays have alot more modesty in comparison to LM.

What is this based on though? And I mean with regards to Little Mix not The Saturdays?

This has gone way off topic also so just to bring it somewhat back, I can see it passing 400,000 on its 1 year anniversary. :)

By how they know they're doing really well in America, push their American mixers to trend and push their songs, its almost if they know they will eventually be the best etc. Just interviews aswell I've watched on Youtube and read. Like this one, its clear they know they are big by the way they talk about the album being produced amazingly, why they tell people to Google them instead of carrying ID etc and the tone of it all. Like I could be wrong and that may be joking, but still don't think The Saturdays would talk like it in an interview:

BACK, to what about us guys!

Nah they (Little Mix) come across as if they would be like DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM? If they got asked for ID.

I think Jade from Little Mix is incredibly sweet (definitely the Mollie of the band) and the other girls are very down to earth, but I've picked up hints of coldness and slight arrogance with Jesy and Perrie in interviews and videos of meeting fans. Leigh-Anne seems fine.

I wouldn't say they're arrogant but they seem very laid back in regards to their accomplishments. They went top five in America with their album and their pre-order tracks went top ten on iTunes there and they seemed very calm and reactions were very P.R whereas if it was The Sats we'd probably have them all in tears and have endless thank yous from them. I'm biased, though, so who cares what I say. :D

Jade annoys me as does Leigh-Anne. So does Perrie really whereas Jesy I don't mind that much. Perrie is bound to have arrogance as shes engaged to 1/5 of the worlds biggest boy band, which to make is still no reason to act in such a way.

No I think you're right, The Sats would express it more because it probably would mean something a bit more to them at this stage as they'll have been together seven years this summer!

'What About Us' is included on The BRIT awards CD.

Why!

I just cherry picked it off the album. Gotta get that Gold.
Newsflash, the girls are nominated for a secret award titled 'Most Amazing Band In The World' that is why :P
