January 9, 201411 yr Watched the return this morning. Stevie Nicks is a legend. 'Rhiannon' kept playing today in work as well! I hope Misty doesn't die - she's one of the best characters this season.
January 12, 201411 yr Author All apart from Zoe (? - Taissa's Character) I believe. Great episode, again. I can't believe just how consistent this show is. It manages to be OTT without trying to be too OTT (if that makes sense). It manages to find that balance, perfectly.
January 16, 201411 yr Season 4 news! http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/01/15/american...-season-4-year/ (Don't read if you want to wait for the trailer or just be surprised etc.) *.* !
January 16, 201411 yr Myrtle Snow is truly a QoL. Her delivery of every line, even the most basic thing, is just perfect. This season, in particular the last 2/3 episodes, really has totally understood that the show is totally ridiculous and OTT and they might as well just go all out with the ridiculous - hence I'm properly loving it the last few weeks.
January 23, 201411 yr They've had SO much going on this season and I've got no idea what is going to happen in the last episode to wrap EVERYTHING up. Are they done with the witch hunters? Are Delphine and the voodoo queen done with too? Is Fiona alive? Who's going to be the next Supreme? Can next Thursday come QUICKER plz?! *.*

It's so good. This seas has the highest ratings so far, so I wonder if season 4 will be a continuation of COVEN? EDIT: whoops, missed the previous post about season 4 :o Edited January 23, 201411 yr by JSG
January 24, 201411 yr Author Slightly off topic but, I bought Season 2 on DVD from Tesco for £3.75!!!!!!!!
January 28, 201411 yr ''In the fall the rotting leaves smell like an Olympian's ejaculate'' !! The way she imbues every worth with far more meaning and feeling than it requires, coupled with the amazing chewing of the scenery really is lifting these final few episodes up to brilliance even if the story is still a little lacking.
January 30, 201411 yr Everything about that finale was sublime. Stevie *.* Misty *.* Myrtle *.* Cordelia *.* Probably my favourite AHS to date. It's going to be really hard to top. The only criticism I have is that it went about all over the place halfway through and I wanted Zoe, Nan, Kyle, and Luke to have more prominent roles. Zoe was the main for the first few episodes and then kind of disappeared into the background a bit. Luke's character had WAAAAY more potential, as did Nan's and Kyle's, but hey ho. Eagerly awaiting AHS4. :D
January 30, 201411 yr It was probably my favourite finale yet, though the other two were rather flawed in the first place. Cordelia was a sensible decision as the new supreme, seeing as she was quite weak and in the shadow of her mother right from the start and to have overcome that by the end, although it was fairly predictable once she started doing the seven wonders. The final scene between her and Fiona was good too, though it was a bit out of character for the latter - I was fully expecting Fiona to just kill her anyway! I did really like the start of the Seven Wonders, but the ending and revealing of the supreme was disappointingly tame after the brutal tasks that preceded it. Kyle's role in this episode just emphasised the fact that his role had been utterly useless for the whole series, a bit of a downer really (I wanted Spalding to somehow still be the ghost butler :( ) Overall, this was probably my favourite series of AHS, not without its flaws and far too much put in at points, but generally consistently better and engaging to follow than the last two. Looking forward to the S4 already! (can't work it out at all though, Cold War themed perhaps?) Edited January 30, 201411 yr by Chez Walrus
January 30, 201411 yr It's been my favourite season overall too. There were a few poor episodes in the middle that made me lose interest, but once Myrtle returned to life it was pretty much great the whole way. I didn't mind the lack of consequences re. death and stuff, because for me the whole series seemed to be about POWER. How all these various people wanted power, but why? And then what it did to them when they did get it, or didn't use it etc. That's why the Fiona/Cordelia dynamic worked so well for me and I am super chuffed with the new supreme. It fits the story and also the notion that power is only useful is used in the right way, but the right people. The Seven Wonders themselves were handled quite well I thought, even though Zoe transmutating onto the spike was just the most ludicrous and shoe horned in plot twist ever, she had been going FINE for like 30 times and then what, just f***ed up? Nah. I also liked how Madison's inability to see beyond herself was her undoing *.* Jessica Lange once again proved why she is SO DAMN GOOD with that final scene too. The fragility and sense of terror Fiona was experiencing then was so perfectly put across on screen, from her eyes to the trembling of her head and hands, just wonderful, wonderful acting.
January 30, 201411 yr I feel like the first half of the series was so action packed and intense, but in the past 3 episodes the show got tame and had to start tying up loose ends. And there was a LOT of loose ends. I felt like the episode was going to be bonkers but it was the complete opposite really. Still, what a FABULOUS season overall! They get better and better each year! I am really wondering what the hell they are going to do next year??!
January 30, 201411 yr I was hoping Kathy would return as a maid... but never mind that. Ryan has confirmed S4 is NOT Circusey.
