September 5, 201311 yr Shane's album is called You and Me, he also said he dedicates it to all of the fans :)
September 5, 201311 yr I read a few days ago that Nicole Appleton (All Saints) was helping at Louis' judges houses? Documentary would help him though...are ITV2 doing it?

September 6, 201311 yr It says on Shane's website that the album will be released November 4th and the single the day before that. Shane Filan will release his debut solo album ‘You & Me’ through Capitol Records on November 4. This follows the success of his debut single ‘Everything To Me’. The next single ‘About You’ will be released a day before the album – November 3. ‘About You’ is written by Shane with Steve Mac and Wayne Hector, who famously wrote ‘Flying Without Wings’ for Westlife. Shane co-wrote a handful of Westlife songs, but his solo album sees him emerge as a pop writer to be reckoned with. Shane says “I got off to a really good start. Everything To Me felt like beginners’ luck, but I didn’t know how good it was. Then the label were phoning, going “This is great!” I’d shown to myself I could do this and that took the pressure off. I was flying in those first two weeks and then suddenly I was in Nashville with really famous songwriters, partly thinking ‘WOW!’ but also ‘Right, let’s do this.’” Shane’s co-writers include his old Westlife writer/producer team Steve Mac & Wayne Hector, plus Nick Atkinson (Gabrielle Aplin), Nexus (Lana Del Rey), Paul Barry & Patrick Maskell (Enrique Iglesias’ Hero) and Nashville songwriters Kylie Sackley and Brandon Hood (LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill). It’s produced by Martin Terefe (Train, Jason Mraz) and Steve Mac. He will release a standard and Deluxe version (2CD), while he also has a limited signed edition that will include a DVD. I wonder what will it have, maybe that documentary.
September 10, 201311 yr I prefer this to the last single! It reminds me of 'Drops Of Jupiter' a lot though. Edited September 10, 201311 yr by Silver Rocket
September 10, 201311 yr I really like the new song, when it is being released? Some places I see November 3rd and others 21st October (hoping it is this one, I don't think it is the best idea to release the single the same week as the album as people will probably only buy the album)
September 10, 201311 yr Author Unfortunately, his official site has it down as the 3rd which means it's the week of the album. I'm a little confused if this is supposed to be a proper single or not as atm it seems they are promoting the album only, the label got a lot of tweets asking when will people be able to buy this and they just promoted the link to the album. I sort of understand as he's obviously going to be an album artist over a single one, but just seems a shame not to try with this too. Regardless though, I'm just looking forwards to hearing the album in full and then live on the tour. The small gig he did a few weeks back was amazing, it really made me appreciate the songs on the EP more. 'Everytime' is amazing, still probably my favourite at this point.
September 11, 201311 yr It is a shame as in interviews before he was saying his next single would be out in October and there would be at least 5 singles, but as long as the album does well then it should be fine. I can't wait to see him on tour, I love the EP, Everytime is definitely my favourite. The fact that I like his new music so much is making really praying he is a success. I just hope the album charts better than the single, but he has tough competition that week I saw The Wanted, Eminem, and James Arthur are releasing their albums that week too. He is on magicfm tomorrow as well Edited September 11, 201311 yr by welben
September 11, 201311 yr I prefer this to the last single! It reminds me of 'Drops Of Jupiter' a lot though. I knew I wasn't alone in hearing that obvious resemblance of the train song in there  not too bad on first listen.
September 11, 201311 yr I knew I wasn't alone in hearing that obvious resemblance of the train song in there  not too bad on first listen. I hear that too :) I hope people won't diss him because of that. Anyway... too bad he isn't releasing it little sooner than the album, but he still can release 4-5 singles if he wants to - he can have the 3rd in January/February before the tour and then the 4th in May and 5th in July. I mean, look at Pink, Rihanna, Perry - they all have 5-6 singles. Later it is not even important to have high position, they release it to help album sales more. Hopefully he will do the same. September 11, 201311 yr These artists have successful album campaigns though, I can't exactly see this following in their footsteps... That is true, but I think Shane's record company is actually very good with promoting him - they have done everything right so far, the only thing they couldn't is to get his music played on Radio 1, but that is truly impossible. I'm sure they will help him with the album campaign, certainly more than Syco ever did in recent years since they refused to let Westlife release even a 2nd single.
September 11, 201311 yr Author Hopefully the album will do well respectively of the current market. I think atm he has a pretty strong fan base, hence good first week sales for the single and tour pre-sale selling out very quickly, it's just whether he can get the general public on side as well to give him longevity. Radio airplay and promo will be the answer to that. I really do hope the album does well though! I'm really liking About You, especially the Na na na middle 8!
September 11, 201311 yr I listened to Louis talking about Shane on the Colin Hayes show yesterday on 2fm and he said he's going all over Europe so hopefully he'll have some international success too I love About You more everytime I listen to it, I think it could do well if it had radio play. But I don't know what can be done about that if stations decided not to playlist it. Edited September 11, 201311 yr by welben
September 13, 201311 yr Great to see his solo tour is successful, he tweeted this: I'm speechless guys !Cant believe Dublin sold out in 20 mins
September 30, 201311 yr Author Official Artwork. http://i922.photobucket.com/albums/ad65/WonderlandUnofficial/shanefilanyoume.jpg
September 30, 201311 yr he posted all the song titles on his Facebook, but they aren't in the right order: Baby Let's Dance About You Coming Home In The End All You Need To Know When I Met You Knee Deep In My Heart One Of Those Days Always Tomorrow Everything's Gonna Be Alright Everytime Everything To Me You and Me Of course, this is only the standard edition, the Deluxe will have 2CDs so we can expect more songs. He also revealed he recorded the acoustic version of What About Now when he was in Manila, so maybe he will release a few more Westlife tracks for the Deluxe edition.
September 30, 201311 yr Author He's actually announced the track listing earlier today in the right order: http://i922.photobucket.com/albums/ad65/WonderlandUnofficial/shanefilanyoumeback.jpg Really happy Once didn't make the standard version, I really wasn't a fan of that one.
September 30, 201311 yr Go, Shane for the number 1 in UK albums chart. Good luck for him and all Westlife / Shane fans. :)
