Most questionable position in my ranking.

Don't get me wrong. I like Madonna, she has many # 1s in my charts (maybe even more, than any another artist), but...

 

Most my favourite Madonna singles (Material Girl, Like A Virgin, Lucky Star, Cherish, Dear Jessie, Crazy For You e.t.c.) and albums (Madonna, Like A Virgin, True Blue, Like A Prayer) were realised in 80s decade.

 

From 90s decade : I like "Secret", "Human Nature", "I'll Remember", "You'll See", "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"

 

Her last songs, which I like : Nothing Fails / Love Profussion [2003]

Her last ULTIMATE hits : You'll See / Don't Cry For Me Argentina [1996]

 

Somewhere near 5 normal songs in 17 years period.

 

Most last Madonna albums (Ray Of Light, Music, Confessions On The Dancefloor, Hard Candy, MDNA) were very weak (max : 4 / 10, more realistic 2-3 / 10)

 

In my "Legends chart" Madonna was on the second place, behind ABBA, but in the current 2013 ranking she is only # 20.

Very popular UK pure pop group from 70s, most notably by winning the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest with "Save Your Kisses for Me".

Three their songs were huge hits in the Europe and # 1s in UK Singles Chart. 12 studio albums are very impressive number for pop group.

Some people are quite rude towards him just because of his difference in tastes. He isn't rude to anybody yet people still talk to him like shit, I don't think he deserves it at all. I don't see why people need to keep repeatedly jumping on him for something they know already (i.e. they're not going to agree with his choices or whatever). He's harmless and his music taste is what makes him unique. It's like reading a broken record in his threads a lot of the time, I actually do feel sorry for him.

 

Some decent artists in here. There's a lot that I haven't heard of or I am aware of (but aside from the major hits don't know anything else by them). Nice choice in Britney song. Underrated I think. Reminds me of my childhood. <3

People haven't really been mean to him though. OK, maybe my "URGH" comment wasn't exactly needed but it's just a difference in opinion and I wouldn't care if someone said that about my music taste.

 

And I have also been nice to him in this thread, I complimented one of his favourite songs and gave him some advice. :o

There's the small matter of him saying he wouldn't listen to an artist if they're ugly.

I'm sorry but Alex has been arrogant in the extreme in the past, done to others exactly what people have been doing to him in this thread showing scant regard to other's taste.

I have learnt to shut up about his taste. Each to their own but the basis of his liking music is unfathomable to me (i.e. liking it solely on the basis of an artist's looks or gender.)
