It’s time to take a break from all that sexercizing and start formulating your plan of attack for Record Store Day 2014. Among the many limited edition treasures on offer is a 7″ vinyl of Kylie Minogue‘s scrapped Japanese bonus track “Golden Boy”. Given the dedication of her hardcore fans, these will go fast!

 

The track was originally listed for the Japan release along with Sky Ferreira-penned jam “Voodoo”. Curiously, both were yanked in favor of “Into The Blue” B-side “Sparks” and a remix but at least we’ll get to hear one of them. Other must-have items include Betty Who‘s “Heartbreak Dream” on vinyl and One Direction‘s “Midnight Memories” picture disc.

I had hoped sexercise and all the video hype would have been enough to get it into the top 100 but id say tits the album that benefited so thats something.

#17 in week 4 for the album.

Not too bad, shame it didnt wait top 15 as in the midweeks but 17 isnt bad at all.

Its chart run so far (02-08-13-17-) is very similar to that of Light Years (02-07-14-19-) - low Top 30 for Kiss Me Once next Sunday perhaps?

I hope not but its likely, the difference with light years and kiss me once (apart from light years been amazingly better) it had hit singles to keep it going outside the lead single, kiss me once wont have that to its advantage.

And sales were so much higher for albums in 2000.

Kiss Me Once will struggle to stay top 30 maybe even top 40 this week.... hope I am wrong but I think about to drop like a stone for a few weeks until promo starts when she is back from Aus beginning of May....

I'd be very surprised if it fell out of the Top 40 this week. Not that I'm disputing that it's going to fall until promo starts again.

KMO is out of top40 albums in todays midweeks. Thats a big drop!

It really is! It has a lot of the Kylie essence.

Not feeling it. Very over produced.

It reminds me so much of some of the unreleased stuff from Body Language and Ultimate Kylie. Really like it.

The beginning sounds fantastic but it drops all over the place when the song goes on.

golden boy isnt bad,its slightly better than most of the tracks that made the album, will it eventually be available to chart on itunes etc once the vinyl sells out which it will.
