December 6, 201311 yr Oh God. PLEASE be the next single (Not Giving Up)! A 'Disco Love' performance would be pointless because a) Frankie isn't even on it and b) It's been dead for about a month now.
December 6, 201311 yr Author Their promotion really has been fantastic this campaign! I'm expecting a performance of 'Disco Love' or some sort of medley, I wouldn't even be surprised of them performing ' Leave A Light On ' for christmas sales. They're filming TOP OF THE POPS today.
December 6, 201311 yr Omg!!! This is amazing!! Aside from the odd hiccup, this really has been a fantastic year
December 6, 201311 yr 10-11 million viewers! :cheer: Whatever they perform should receive a nice boost.
December 6, 201311 yr Strictly doesn't tend to give much boost due to the average age of the show but hopefully grannies will see and get the album for their grand kids haha.
December 7, 201311 yr I think Strictly gets about 10 million whilst X Factor only gets about 8 million. For an act like The Saturdays though, I'd say the X Factor would be a more beneficial promotional opportunity than Strictly due to the type of audience watching. But promo is promo and it's great to see them finally get such a high profile slot!
December 7, 201311 yr I hope they bring their A-game for this because it's a big and amazing opportunity for them. Most watched TV-show in the UK at the moment... It might be better to sing Disco Love to remind those grannies of the 70s and 80s they liked so much! Leave A Light On being a boring ballad might fool the grannies into thinking the rest of the album is in the same vein and therefore buying it for their grandkids as Steve D said. They don't seem able to sing What About Us properly live. At least they sound good doing Disco Love and Leave A Light On!
December 7, 201311 yr They sound good on Disco Love, but I don't think Frankie has had time to rehearse the choreography. I'm thinking they'll sing Leave a Light On with mic stands, so they don't have to move a lot.
December 7, 201311 yr Are the performances on Strictly pre-recorded? I know the main live show is live, but I think they pre-record the Sunday results show (the show the girls will perform on) later on the same night (so tonight). A medley or something would be cool. And great promo - even if not quite their age range they're still getting their name out there to 11 million people on the biggest TV show here in the UK at the moment. Nice going, girls! December 7, 201311 yr What about us / Disco Love medley please! Hopefully the dancers won't the to pull focus too much! - As they usually do a song for the professionals to dance to, I think Disco Love actually fits the bill more. Edited December 7, 201311 yr by joepassmore
December 7, 201311 yr They need to perform something to appeal to the Strictly viewers though. As far as I can remember, it's older and more female skewed. Therefore, they should logically perform 'Disco Love' or 'Leave a Light On'. As much as I would love 'Not Giving Up' or 'What About Us', they're not gonna get many album or singles sales out of it. They need to perform something which is going to appeal to the Strictly viewership! Also, anyone find it weird how they're snubbed from BBC promo for so long and then get the BBC's biggest show just like that! Edited December 7, 201311 yr by ❅ APRIL JINGLE ❅
December 7, 201311 yr Author I think they managed to get the Strictly slot because of Rochelle performing on the Christmas special. The promotion for ' Living For The Weekend ' has been incredible, it's a pity that sales haven't represented their hard work. Hopefully their strictly performance will be enough to get them back into the top 75 on the album charts which would be rather ideal.
December 7, 201311 yr I am so excited to see how this pans out. bighestbuk show at the moment right before Xmas!! The could get a fair few album sales out ofntonight performance depending what they do. LEAVE A DISCO LIGHT ON. PLEASE :)
December 7, 201311 yr I would love them to do a medley from each album.. I know it wont happen but it could give all 5 albums a huge boost for Christmas!
December 7, 201311 yr Author I don't think they've ever done a medley from their own singles. I'm hoping they manage to get a slot on Text Santa, it would be completely appropriate to perform ' Leave A Light On'.
