When did 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' peak at 11? Obviously it got to 7 in 1991, and then it went Top 5 a couple of years ago.

 

I have to say, reading through that list makes me wish the chart skipped straight from 10 to 12. Even the handful of decent songs in there are by people who did better ones, 'Latch' possibly the one exception.

 

Here's one example of an act peaking at 11 with a real career highpoint though. In fact this was the biggest hit the Clash had while they were still together, and not undeservedly so:

"Let's get retarded"....? LOL

I think most people would be surprised that Let's Get It Started didn't make top 10. It's more well-known than some of their actual top 10 hits (I think because it's been used in so many adverts and movies since).

I agree. It's definitely more remembered than the likes of 'Don't Phunk With My Heart', 'Don't Lie' and 'Hey Mama'.
