That is hilarious hahaha

Has anyone noticed, The wanted's show has been on recently on E! ?? The ratings at the beginning are very similar to The Saturdays. Their initial premiere got only 600,000 viewers whereas The sats got 914,000 (I think, might be more). But after their slot movement, The Sats dribbled all the way down to 101,000. The Wanted were moved to Saturday nights after a while and it got them 998,000 viewers! If only that Happened to the ats...

And Just found this:

Chasing The Saturdays, which documented the girl group trying to crack the US, only lasted one series on US network E! before being shown the back door by TV execs unhappy with poor ratings.

US figures for the ten-episode series were so poor they went as low as 100,000.

And it seems the reason Americans weren’t fussed about the show was because Mollie King, Frankie Sanford, Una Healy, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes got on far too well.

‘It got killed in the ratings,’ a source told The Sun. ‘US fans like drama and conflict but The Saturdays actually liked each other.’

Haha the end of it slayed me, they actually liked each other!!

They're half right. There WAS no drama or conflict, but I don't think that was the main issue. The problem was it supposedly filmed them since the summer of 2012 into February 2013'ish and they would rather show Mollie's dating life, the girls sitting by the pool, Una and Ben's 50 conversations about his injury, Rochelle's endless Skype scenes with Marvin and random scenes of the girls shopping or in their hotel rooms. It was billed as the girls taking over America, ffs! They didn't even show ANY US promotion they done until the last episode and it was a quick "OMG we're on Jay Leno tonight" and "OMG we just performed on Jay Leno" in the space of two minutes.

SO, was it axed or a second season was never planned to be commissioned. The earlier one is what newspapers and websites have said, the latter was stated by the girls

Well like I said, it was supposed to just act as an introduction to the US and I don't think there was ever any intention of making another season as the focus was "cracking America". If the show was a success and they actually done well in the US charts they could have done a second season but I think the girls probably realised it was a waste of time making the show and didn't even care about doing it again.

I actually rewatched the first episode of Chasing The Saturdays and it was REALLY good. That scene with Mollie, Frankie and Vanessa was funny, the scenes between Mollie and Frankie were really cute. The whole VMA thing was interresting. Then there was the performance at Perez. It was just a real good proper episode. Every episodes should have been like that.
does anyone know if Mollie's song got picked for The Backstreet Boys album?
