I take it it's coinciding with the release of Gentleman? I hope it pays off!!

I haven't listened to any Sats songs besides 'What About Us' and 'Gentleman' this year. I deleted all their songs off my phone (but kept them on my laptop) because I didn't want anyone to know I listened to them, but I've just selected their playlist on iTunes now and I'm listening to 'Missing You'. I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it so far. :o

My last played for the Headlines, Wordshaker and Chasing Lights albums are mid 2011. :o

I have a love hate (more like 'love less') relationship with their lead singles. Everything else for the most part is instant and always has been. :)
Is it just me that thinks 'Notorious' is killer on record but works absolutely terribly live?

It works well live, they just can't reproduce the chorus live which is a shame because it's quite simple. It's a pretty low chorus so I don't really know why they keep having Frankie and Mollie doing high harmonies for it. It's ridiculous.

Anyway, Notorious - the song (studio) - is freaking amazing.

Missing You is shit. :puke2:

White Lies is now incredible though

I think it sounds horrible live. :( When I hear the studio version the chorus just builds and builds and sounds really interesting, and the girls are all so clear and have attitude with the lyrics but when it's live (particularly during festivals when they're really out of breath) it just sounds so flat and I hate it. Same with All Fired Up.

The songs that work best well live are Gentleman, Issues, 30 Days, Higher, Ego, Up, Missing You, My Heart Takes Over and What About Us (with Rochelle). All Fired Up and Notorious just never sound as good, Work is very hit and miss (I don't like how shouty their "WORK! WORK!"s are), If This Is Love is meh and Just Can't Get Enough is probably the most boring thing to witness ever.

My Heart Takes Over only works well live because the backing track is even more louder than usual. I swear it's even louder than the Forever Is Over one.

I don't think 30 Days work that well live either.

I would say Work is good, but they do need to stop singing the chorus with their headvoices or then they should use a more preminent backing track.

Notorious probably sounds unusual live due to the fact that Mollie cannot emulate the processed intro she does on the studio version live. I like the routine though; especially during their first live performance - now that was good.

I personally much prefer the way she sounds on the live version. I actually always wanted the pre-recorded vocals to leak since they did with All Fired Up. It's much much better how she does it.

I mean...

Oh Y'all I'd like to request y'all to participate in CODE... it's within the LOUNGE and would be a great idea to get a couple of Saturdays' fans on the leaderboard!

I think My Heart Takes Over is amazing!!! and it underperformed. I think Notorious is amazing, and it underperformed, I mist have terrible music taste!!! Also you alwsays hear on here that, if they'd released a better single after MHTO, the album could have been saved, but I really dont thinkso. They most likely would have just had another wordshaker and wasted money.

Technically, Ego did become a huge seller and did sell a 40k-50k more of Wordshaker. Who knows if it would have happened without Ego. At the end of the day, they saved the whole Wordshaker fiasco with the Headlines! EP that works exactly like a re-edition... Plus, it actually became one. They could have gone the same way, but with the whole american plans and all, maybe it was a better idea to stop it right there.

Wall > You want me to vote for you, don't you?

I must admit, I like Notorious but I kinda wish they wouldn't start all their concerts with it now since they did with the AFU Tour. I also notice that they performed Get Ready Get Set at some of their gigs this year, which seems unusual considering it is not a single. I think that is them regretting not releasing it! Although is it just me or would the video to it be kinda... inappropriate  :w00t:

Missing You is their 3rd best song and you will deal.

Missing You is the song that made me hate The Saturdays.
