June 14, 201312 yr Can't even begin to compare this to anything else he's done but i am madly in love with it as an album right now. I Am A God is my highlight (it was always going to be though) but Blood on the Leaves is too much aswell. It's really Kanye-esque (with small hints from all over the place) but then just pumped up to the max and much more sinister than what he's ever done before. I can see why he didn't push a single either - nothing would have worked (except for New Slaves which could be the song he's filming a video for maybe?).
June 15, 201312 yr Author It's more 808 than any other album. Very EDM driven, not that commercially friendly. There's no obvious lead single, or singles. I can imagine his record company maybe wanted something different, but Kanye told them to stick it. Need to give it a few more listens yet, but it's promising. Very trippy,
June 15, 201312 yr 'Blood On The Leaves' slaying me just now - the moment when that beat kicks in just kills me. By far and away the highlight of this album. Overall, it is a very strong album, of course it would be, its Kanye, but for me its only giving me 8/10 vibes right now whereas 'My Beautiful...' was a clear 11/10. June 15, 201312 yr its released on monday, yeah? whys it leaking a news story? thats normal behaviour. god stupid digital spy.
June 16, 201312 yr ^ it's being released on Tuesday (for some reason) Still not disappointing me in the slightest. The only track(s) potentially worth skipping in the distant future are I'm In It and Send it Up but that most certainly won't be happening any time soon. Bound 2 was one of my least favourites initially because it feels kind of out of place, and i'm still not sure i get it completely yet but damn it's grown in a major way - feeling so much nostalgia from it! And the final minute and a half especially is so beautiful :'((
June 18, 201312 yr Hearing it all on full blast is sooo satisfying. Blood on the Leaves especially is sounding like it could be one of the biggest songs he's ever recorded after repeated listens. Going by global iTunes Black Skinhead is the most downloaded initially, followed by New Slaves and the album is dominating nearly everywhere too. Yeesum. Also this:
June 18, 201312 yr This is Zane Lowe's Album Of The Week, which means that he's playing songs from Yeezus every night from Monday to Thursday. I'm really loving the overall sound and direction of this album now!
June 18, 201312 yr Black Skinhead and New Slaves are particularly EXTRAORDINARY and OUT OF THIS WORLD.
June 19, 201312 yr This whole thing is ridiculously pretentious and egotistical from the whole no cover thing, to featuring GOD. I mean, seriously?!
June 19, 201312 yr To quote what Christopher Maloney said to you, jealousy (or whatever that was he said) isn't a great look on you :o (RiRi could NEVA) Edited June 19, 201312 yr by Ísjaki

June 24, 201312 yr Source: MW by Alan Jones Albums: http://www.energyradio.rs/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Kanye_West.jpg Daring, distasteful, ignorant, raw, primal, visceral, extreme, narcissistic, intense, racist, dangerous, and controversial are just some of the adjectives being bandied around by a hyped-up press to describe Kanye West's new album Yeezus, which dropped unexpectedly on Tuesday, six days before it was originally intended, 10 days after his 36th birthday and three days after Kim Kardashian gave birth to his daughter - North West. In the maelstrom whipped up by its release, Yeezus sold 25,400 copies to debut atop the album chart. West's sixth solo album, it is his second number one, following Graduation, which opened at number one in 2007, on sales of 84,611 - his highest weekly tally. West's last chart album, Watch The Throne, was a collaboration with Jay-Z, which opened at number three in 2011 on sales of 30,856 copies. Prior to the release of Yeezus, West had sold 2,723,453 albums in the UK, with top title Late Registration - which debuted and peaked at number two in 2005, on sales of 67,240 - contributing 796,249. Three tracks from Yeezus enter the singles chart: Black Skinhead (number 48, 6,257 sales), New Slaves (number 97, 2,786 sales) and Blood On The Leaves (number 174, 1,421 sales). 1 Kanye West 25,400 2 Black Sabbath 21,056 (68,750) 3 Kodaline 20,924 To Date Albums Kanye West - Late Registration 796,249 Decent sales for a dubious release strategy and it only dropping properly a few days into the sales week. Hope it can hold up now and do the same in the US.
