Posted May 8, 201312 yr I didn't know if it was OK to make a thread for this, but I have been following the batch of pilots this year and their possible pick up for series quite carefully. And next week, the big 5 broadcast networks in the US will be revealing their Fall 2013 schedules and the new/returning shows they have in store for us. May 13th (AM) NBC May 13th (PM) FOX May 14th (PM) ABC May 15th (TBA) CBS May 16th (AM) The CW I thought we could use this thread for official renewals, cancellations and pickups XD.

May 8, 201312 yr Hostages (starring Toni Collette! *.* ) is based on the Israeli format. Well smack my ass and call me Stacey, wasn't Homeland based on the Israeli series? I smell a hit. It seems The CW's pilot list consists of solely the supernatural/futuristic dramas lmao. The Advocates! Cannot wait! Damages (FX but STILL) has ended so there's another spot for a lawyer drama in this bitch! Just having The Good Wife and Suits isn't really enough. Gothica (ABC) will probably be a hit looking at the synopsis. That is if it ain't cheesy obviously. And look who is going to remake British The Syndicate (AND Gavin & Stacey  )! :magic: And OH GOD they are remaking Les Revenants as well! Well at least just taking the story (I think it's based on some book or w/e). WOT Delirium sounds FANTASTIC too! The JJ Abrams one sounds ok too. Bloodline will never survive. I mean is Revolution basically the same? Edited May 8, 201312 yr by Paveux
May 8, 201312 yr Looking forward to seeing all the previews. Some looked so promising last year but seem to have amounted to bugger all yet others turned out to be more amazing than you could imagine.
May 8, 201312 yr Deadline reports that CBS are picking up 'Mom' within the next day, no surprise as that and S.H.I.E.L.D. at ABC sound like the most sure-things out there. I'm rooting for 'Super Fun Night' at ABC but I fear it won't really fit and will just end up being another 'Happy Endings'. And 'The Selection' at The CW sounds like it's lost hope for the 2nd year running so..:( I'm not sure about ABC re-making 'The Syndicate', doesn't sound totally on-brand for them so if it does get a pickup they'll probably shove it in the Thursday 8/7c slot. :nocheer:
May 8, 201312 yr Author I just want Super Clyde. Even if the premise sounds a little off and out there for CBS, I would die to have Rupert Grint on my screen weekly. Gothica and Delirium also sound fantastic. The CW has so much potential if they are going in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy direction, but none of their new stuff appeals to me whatsoever.
May 9, 201312 yr Fox Drama: Rake Gang Related Sleepy Hollow Almost Human Fox Comedy: Enlisted Surviving Jack Us & Them Brooklyn Nine-Nine Dads Murder Police (Animated) 10 New shows for Fox. Fuck knows where they are going to put them all.
May 9, 201312 yr A bland selection from FOX. Their ratings slide will continue. The following are dead at NBC: comedies Holding Patterns, Brenda Forever, The Gates and Joe, Joe & Jane, and dramas Hatfields & McCoys, The Secret Lives of Husbands & Wives, Bloodline and The Sixth Gun. Edited May 9, 201312 yr by Jark
May 9, 201312 yr One of the dramas will time-share with "The Following" (intentionally or not, depending on what tanks ), I guess they'll be trying scripted on Friday once again, maybe cutting down on X Factor/Idol a tad and then just some other scheduling technique, if they play it right with time-sharing we could (fingers crossed!) be seeing less repeats. Oh and I hope that one of these new shows gets the post-Super Bowl slot rather than The Following. I'm glad they've gone with a high volume regardless and they seemed to acknowledge they didn't go with enough last year. I love Andy Samberg so that's at least one pick-up that I have interest in already.
May 9, 201312 yr Author Bleh to both networks so far. I'm sad that Fox passed Delirium and Boomerang (the latter mainly for the legend that is Felicity Huffman). NBC's remaining dramas are Blacklist, Crisis, Believe, Ironside and I Am Victor. All sound awful :/
May 9, 201312 yr NBC have got Crossbones and Dracula coming this fall (both went straight to series) so they've got a good chance of producing a couple of hits. But the remaining dramas do sound boring/shite.
May 9, 201312 yr FOX have played it majorly safe, but who can blame them really. All male leads, and all from strong studios/directors/actors. Wonder if Sleepy Hollow will go on Friday nights. Gang Related looks good, although it looks entirely dominated at the male audience judging by the producers/writes/concept.
May 9, 201312 yr Dramas 'Crisis' and 'Believe' along with comedies 'About A Boy', 'Sean Saves The World' (what is that title?) and 'Family Guide' have been picked up by NBC. I also didn't realise earlier that one of the FOX pick-ups is the 'Gavin & Stacey' re-make, hopefully it won't be awful with James & Ruth producing.
May 9, 201312 yr Crisis actually sounds interesting. Sean Saves the World (agreed, worst title ever) has the most dreadful premise.
