May 14, 201312 yr Bones is syndicated which brings in a truckload of cash. It's is also supposedly popular with the high earning 18-49 bracket which is why it get the same ad rates as NCIS despite being like a whole rating point lower. Well OK using this as a source that last point is true but it still puts Glee higher. :P And Glee will be syndicated itself come fall now that it has four seasons.
May 14, 201312 yr Well OK using this as a source that last point is true but it still puts Glee higher. :P And Glee will be syndicated itself come fall now that it has four seasons. And Bones' Syndication revenue more than makes up the difference given that it is widely syndicated internationally as well which is why I said it brings in more cash. I really don't see the point in sending Bones to bloody Friday halfway through Fall. They clearly want to use it to kick-start one of their new shows with the hope that it and then The Following will stand tall without the Bones lead-in. Clearly they want to give Raising Hope and Enlisted a decent lead in.
May 14, 201312 yr I think the decision to move Bones is probably quite an obvious one really, yes it does very well where it is and yes it makes lots of money but it can't last forever and they need to start giving other shows a good chance for the future. Plus Bones seems to have a pretty loyal fanbase so I'm sure the move won't be the end of it.
May 14, 201312 yr I'm hoping I can get a 10th season/200 episodes and that'll be it wrapped up . I dearly love it but I've found a couple of the episodes this season to be a bit shit and I really don't want to end up in a situation like the CSI franchise did. Sure it can go on and on with the type of show it is but I'd rather it went out on an epic high after a completely fantastic final season that has been advertised as that from the outset.
May 14, 201312 yr So my view on the five NBC trailers. Dracula seems alright, but I doubt I will get around to watching it. Ironside, I see someone has decided to use Wheels and The Leg-Man as an actual idea for a show, welldone to American Dad for that. The Micheal J Fox Show doesn't look great at all, possibility for the quickest cancellation of the season if it wasn't for the titular star attached. Sean Saves The World I think looks like it will be really funny. It's just a shame that Sean seems to be playing a toned down version of Jack from Will and Grace. Welcome To The Family lower class child sleeps with upper class child, HILARITY is sure to follow... I am not convinced, but will watch the pilot of this.
May 14, 201312 yr ABC MONDAY 8/7c Dancing With the Stars 10 pm Castle TUESDAY 8 pm MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D 9 pm THE GOLDBERGS 9:30 pm TROPHY WIFE 10 pm LUCKY 7 WEDNESDAY 8 pm The Middle 8:30 pm BACK IN THE GAME 9 pm Modern Family 9:30 SUPER FUN NIGHT 10 pm Nashville THURSDAY 8 pm ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND 9 pm Grey’s Anatomy 10 pm Scandal FRIDAY 8 pm Last Man Standing 8:30 pm The Neighbors 9 pm Shark Tank 10 pm 20/20 SATURDAY 8 pm Saturday Night College Football SUNDAY 7 America’s Funniest Home Videos 8 pm Once Upon a Time 9 pm Revenge 10 pm BETRAYAL Suburgatory on the bench. :( OH at Wonderland, yay at the DWTS results show being gone and Rebel Wilson getting the post-MF slot (although I'm not sure how well it fits).
May 14, 201312 yr Big yay at Scandal not moving, was very worried they might f*** it all up and snatch failure from the jaws of victory. Suburgatory for midseason then? Ouch, well it started late and ended early this year so they may still be able to fit in a full season if (when) something tanks.
May 14, 201312 yr Hopefully something will tank so we get Suburgatory back asap, however I can see it going like season 3 of Cougar Town and getting it's episode count reduced twice and not coming back till 2014.
May 14, 201312 yr Joe Adalian @TVMoJoe 1m ABC says it will air its Sunday dramas in 2 batches of 12 episodes, with limited series filling the gap in between them Well it sounds like they might be getting something right! I'm very interested to see how the OUAT spin-off does in that slot.
May 14, 201312 yr That's a MUCH better idea, OUAT and Revenge were totally f***ed this year going up against all those awards ceremonies in January.
May 14, 201312 yr ABC needed to do that on Sundays, because those dramas were getting slaughtered by cable. Be interesting to see how SHIELD does. ABC obviously has a lot of faith!
May 14, 201312 yr Some terrible decisions by abc there. Really? I disagree. Tuesdays and Thursdays in particular are killer. Tuesday is a risk with all-new shows but all have had good hype and Agents of SHIELD will give the others a nice lead-in. Wednesday is a bit of a mish mash and I reckon Modern Family will be down to mid 2.0s this year. But Super Fun Night might keep Nashville afloat in mid-high 1.0s. Betrayal could be another Red Widow. As a soap it's well paired with Revenge but that's a rubbish lead in so it'll have to be a self starter.
May 14, 201312 yr I hate the idea of Revenge on Sundays again, but we'll see how they schedule it. Still think DWTS should've been moved to Sundays. I though the OUAT spinoff would've replaced OUAT during midseason, kinda baffled they put it in the deathslot. Suburgatory only midseason :( Hope it can still reach syndication. So ABC, FOX and NBC will once again have comedies competing with each other at 9pm Tuesdays. Havent they learned anything this year? Smart choice to leave Scandal after Greys for another year.

As a soap it's well paired with Revenge but that's a rubbish lead in so it'll have to be a self starter. I said some but I probably should have elaborated, Wonderland should really have followed Once at least until spring which would secure it the audience they are looking for. They really should have scheduled something they know will survive in that slot. Revenge is a ship half sunk ATM and should have moved back an hour. Love that there is no DWTS on Tuesday and SHIELD was always going to be a hit so using it as a lead into a couple of comedies is a good idea and should do amazingly well without the voice as competition. But I really think a night of all new is a big risk. Although not a great lead in they could really utilise DWTS better by using it to launch something new. Wednesday is great and I'm really hoping Super Fun Night to be a big hit to replace Modern Family which could then occupy the whole that The Middle will leave as I can't see that having another season after this one.
May 14, 201312 yr I've heard on Twitter that Wonderland is a 13-episode limited run so will be gone by Spring with something else thrown into the Thursday 8PM slot. It'll probably be a better fit with Grey's/more female skewing than what's been in the slot recently but I'm not entirely sold because OUAT itself is down a lot this year. Wednesday was all new in 2009-2010 and worked in terms of The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town all being renewed but the comedies they've thrown behind S.H.I.E.L.D. sound like better fits with MF and Super Fun Night doesn't feel like as good a fit, the pilot is even meant to have some problems itself so it's only getting such treatment because of the star which might not turn out to be the best idea. Revenge and Betrayal could at least be switched so the latter has a better lead-in.
May 14, 201312 yr Revenge and Betrayal could at least be switched so the latter has a better lead-in. But betrayal is naturally followed by revenge :D
May 14, 201312 yr Personally I think Castle should be in Betrayal's slot, its an established show and would probably do okay in the timeslot. Move Nashville to Mondays at 10 after DWTS, they are likely to share an audience. Those comedies after SHIELD are so misfitting.
May 14, 201312 yr That actually, surprisingly looks like a smart schedule from ABC (of all the people!). Sunday drama's airing in two batches of 12's is a move that is long, long, long overdue! Hopefully that'll lead to less of the one new episode, 2 repeats, one new episode, one repeat, two new episode, three years of repeats, season finale crap that ABC seem to have been doing recently.
