The new Cybermen looked fantastic, and they had some fabulous techniques, although it felt as if they were undefeatable, and the only way you could banish them is by exploding them, or where they are.

The scene(s) with the Doctor and the 'Cyber Doctor' arguing both physically and mentally dragged on for quite a bit (especially when the Doctor was in the Cyber Tomb), but when it got to the pair of them playing Chess in the castle, it was really exciting and dramatic. Yet again, though, it seemed the sonic screwdriver had rather major involvement in how the story itself was concluded, which was disappointing. Overall, a fantastic episode.

I liked some of the new additions to the Cybermen but it is quite annoying that they are basically undefeatable. They can now essentially 'upgrade' to avoid any weaknesses meaning that it's going to be harder and harder to get rid of them when they are inevitably brought back. I agree about the first scenes with the two Doctors as it felt a bit slow but Matt Smith's acting when he was the 'Cyber Doctor' was probably one of the best performances he's ever given.

I realise the last few pages make it sounds like all I do is MOAN, but it's mainly down to the frustration I feel by seeing what is so clearly a good idea not being executed properly.

I feel exactly the same! I feel like I'm always moaning and nit-picking but some of the executions this series haven't been that great when they really could be. :(

Overall, it was a good episode and I liked how Clara was really involved this episode. I loved the later scenes with the two doctors especially. It was good that the kids weren't too involved but I disagree with comments that the boy was the worst. The girl wasn't that great an actor and had some really bad lines such as when she entered the military base and just went 'I'm bored.' Really?

I've found the negative side to watching episodes multiple times though, as you start to recognise settings that they've used before. I'm sure the military base/hall was used in The Doctor's Daughter for the same reason and the part in the castle where the Doctor played chess was used in The Vampires of Venice.

Nightmare In Silver wasn't that bad, the kids didn't irritate me as much as I was fearing, barely registered them actually. The Cybermen were OK being brought back but they aren't as much engaging villains as they are a threat that results in high body counts. Matt Smith's acting for two was easily the best part.

In retrospect nothing is standing out as much as The Crimson Horror, it's been an ok half-series but not as good as I would have hoped.

Exactly - the upgrading to avoid all weaknesses is obviously a good way to make them seem like a more powerful and destructive villain, but at the same time - it's going to introduce the sonic screwdriver (yet again) as the way of solving nearly all plots.

Neil Gaiman has said that if he is offered a return for Series 8, or any time in the future, he would like to resurrect the Yeti for a story. Sounds fab to me! :D

Yeah the finale is all over the net I hear, gotta keep extra careful! Doing well to be spoiler-free so far.

SOMEONE KNOWS.

What I wouldn't give to have that power. It's spoiler-free, don't worry, the person it happened to was respectful enough to not leak anything. If anyone else got their pre-order early too we may not be as safe, but that's just made me more excited for the finale.

There are lots of Tumblr pages with supposed information about what happens in The Name of the Doctor, who Clara is, what the Doctor's secret is, etc - so if I were you I'd stay well away. Lucky sod getting their copy early, though. Will pre-order mine soon from the BBC Shop (you get the promo posters as art cards for all the episodes if you order there).

1. The Angels Take Manhattan

2. Hide

3. The Snowmen

4. The Crimson Horror

5. Asylum Of The Daleks

6, A Town Called Mercy

7. Nightmare In Silver

8. The Rings Of Akhaten

9. Cold War

10. The Bells Of Saint John

11. Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

12. The Power Of Three

13. Dinosaurs On A Spaceship

The latest episode was pretty good although I have to say I didn't feel the desperation that usually follows Cybermen around. Not enough people being converted into cybermen for my liking.

WHAAAAT I NEED TO WATCH NAME OF THE DOCTOR LIKE NOW. If copies are out it has to leak, right?

I hope it doesn't leak, but at the same time I hope people don't sneakily reveal plot details, etc. :(

Why? As long as you refrain from spoilers, what's wrong with them being out there?

I do hope it leaks, I don't watch it live on TV anyway.

Please let me know if you find a link, I will love you.

Because if people do post spoilers, the internet and social media make it SO easy to come across them. I don't understand the point in spoilers anyway. If people are that interested to know whats happening and read the spoilers, why can't they wait to watch the show as when they do watch it their viewing is obviously spoiled and the 'experience' is not half as good.

I have 100% respect for the people who have received their copies early.

Here is what one fan who received their copy early had to say:

So, I feel like I have the awesome power of being able to spoil something really really big in the palm of my hands but I refuse sir, I REFUSE! Just know that The Name of the Doctor is a seriously game-changing episode. And that Clara’s explanation will BLOW classic Whovians out of the water.

I am REALLY eager to find out who Clara is now, so roll on Saturday!

On second thought I kind of don't want this to leak yet, I've planned a Series 7 marathon for this week!
I just found a site with details on what happens. Skimmed past it, although I daren't read it in detail at all. :/ Lots of things to do with Clara, the Doctor and River.
