very in-depth article - I think if they hadnt got plotlines planned for some story-arcs, they could borrow a few ideas from this B-)

Don't really want to read an article exalting Clara when she's the worst my least favourite new series companion, but good for you, Callum. Looks well written too.
And in other news,

Ian McNiece

has confirmed he is returning for an episode, probably the Christmas Special seeing as it starts filming soon, and probably to finish the character's story and connection with the 11th Doctor.

Filming for the Christmas Special has started today, so we should hopefully expect some filming pics soon, unless most of it is studio filming (which Moffat has probably opted for given what the episode is). Probably going to be returning to Trenzalore in the Christmas Special for the actual battle, and not a continuation of the events in The Name of the Doctor. Plus, apparently the

Cybermen

are in this episode.

Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy were spotted outside the BBC today holding banners that read "No Classics? No 50th!" and "Have a heart, Classic Doctors want a part!".

Speculation is: - a clever marketing plot to build anticipation for the 50th; - a DVD extra/minisode; - or genuine hurt over the non-inclusion

Moffat getting that attention for not including them. :kink: Glad he's not just adding them for the sake of it, though. Long may he continue to piss off Classic fans. :D

I very much doubt they are disgruntled over non-inclusion, so yeah it seems like a (thinks it's smarter than it is) ploy.
I have a suspicion that they still might all be included in the episode, although probably for a very small amount of time. That's probably just another way of trying to cover things up.

Yeah there's no way they'd actually do that IMO, it MUST be part of Moffat's plan. Rule 1: Moffat lies.

Pretty excited for the 50th, let's just hope Moffat's not cocked it up by making it overly confusing like he has with many things since he's been in charge.

The Day Of The Doctor is coming! 23rd November, 75 minutes long! BE THERE!

75 minutes :\ What a disappointment, there have been Christmas specials that long.
75 minutes :\ What a disappointment, there have been Christmas specials that long.

Only The End of Time (which essentially should only have been 45 minutes because it dragged out for much longer than it should have). :P

75 minutes isn't that bad, TBH. Only 15 minutes off being feature-length, and I suppose Moffat can only write however much comes to mind, and what the story involves, etc. Looking forward to it so much! :w00t:

Sorry to double post :kink: but 'The Day of the Doctor' is now available to pre-order, available 2 December (and HOPEFULLY includes this year's Doctor Who Proms as it was shown on BBC One, the full thing).

50th Anniversary schedule:

- The Day of the Doctor (BBC One)

- Lecture by Professor Brian Cox (explaining the science behind Doctor Who) [bBC Two]

- An Adventure in Space and Time (BBC Two)

- An Unearthly Child (BBC Four) [restored]

- The Culture Show: Me, You and Doctor Who (BBC Two)

- Who is the Doctor? (BBC Radio 2) [90 minute documentary]

And some more filming pics from the Christmas Special:

So the announcement was indeed just that the episode is titled 'The Day of the Doctor', and is 75 minutes in length.

Although, we now also have the first official promo poster! :D
