They were both in separate filming blocks though and surely they'd have the same director?

Michelle Gomez has been cast as the Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere in the finale!

They really are getting all the guest castings spot on this series - SO ready for Keeley Hawes. Hermoine Norris and Michelle added into the mix just makes it even better!

UNIT

,

Kate Stewart

and

Osgood

will also be returning in the finale. A page from the script has leaked online as well and the episode is called

'Death in Heaven'

. Filming pics also show that the

Cybermen

are the villains! *.*

I read in one of the comments that the BBC is required to have Daleks make an appearance in every series in order to maintain the rights. Does anyone know if that stands?
Yep that's correct, it's why Moffat had to have the Supreme make a cameo in 'The Wedding of River Song' - otherwise he probably would have preferred to go a series without them.

Why? Surely BBC owns the rights to the Daleks anyway, just as with all Doc Who property?

Also what else has M Gomez been in?

What could it possibly do with them outside of Doctor Who? That sounds like a ridiculous situation!
The Daleks are a brand in themselves, Michael. They're not owned by Doctor Who or the BBC. Which is why on all toy / DVD merchandising there's small-print for the Daleks and Terry Nation (as well as the Cybermen, etc.).
Episode 2 is apparently titled '

Into the Dalek

' (

with the Doctor and Clara going *inside* a Dalek

)...

AGAIN?  Didn't they ALREADY DO THAT!!!

I can see why he'd have the rights to merchandise, but how could he use them outside Doc Who other than that? Imagine a cartoon etc with Daleks but no Doc Who?

Back in the 20th century, yes. But even then the Dalek wasn't the host body.

He tried making a TV series with them (without the Doctor) in the 1960s but he could never get it off the ground. I can't remember what it was actually about though, I think it might have been following a group fighting them.

5 Series 8 scripts have apparently leaked and the Beeb is once again begging fans not to spoil anything. You must be a very hardcore fan to enjoy reading scripts

That's really annoying. I guess everybody should know to avoid Tumblr then.

All Doctor Who news websites seem to have disabled public commenting to avoid them being posted as well.

First image from 'Deep Breath' has been released by the BBC!
