How does deleting the cover versions work? Do the record label ask iTunes to delete it? If so, surely the record company would have enough sense to release it now?!

The covers of songs on iTunes are weird. I checked to see if Zara Larsson 'Uncover' was on iTunes but it wasn't, but a couple of fakes were. Why is it weird? Because when I previewed two of them they were clearly the same singer but they were listed as two different acts on iTunes.

I don't get why 'I Love It' is being held back so much. Had they released it back in January, it might've sold 300k by now if not more.

Jessie has just confirmed on Twitter that 'Wild' will be available on UK iTunes at midnight tonight!

I've noticed this too. Sometimes for songs the real instrumental isn't available, so I listen to the instrumentals of fake or cover versions, and I noticed often lots of them are just the same remake of the instrumental, but credited to different artists.

That is a disastrous decision. No one's even heard it yet!

A few people have now actually as it leaked in the last couple of hours. :kink: It will be a massive hit by the sounds of it even if it isn't totally to my taste with all of the rapping.

The verses in Jessie J's song sound like Run the World meets Thrift Shop. It's got a much better chorus than Do It Like a Dude as well imo.
Wasn't Price Tag OA/OS?

Yeah but everyone had heard it beforehand anyway.

I think Wild will get to number four or five this week.

SERIOUSLY? I'm sure many casual buyers will probably think this is the real version. Release it next week!

If I realised I'd just got a tinpot version of the song, I'd definitely re-download it. It doesn't make sense to me why anyone else wouldn't do the same, although they most likely don't.

I think Jessie will get to about #6, maybe #4/5 at best. Predicting a top 5 of Robin, Daft Punk, Naughty Boy and Passenger in that order plus Stylo G slotting between or around the latter two.

'Soundbwoy' has now clicked with me after going right over my head the first 2 or 3 times I heard it. Hope it can be big.

Who was the last Jamaican artist aside from Sean Paul to make the top 10? Any since Beenie Man (2004)?

By name recognition though, Iconic Pop sounds similar to Icona Pop.

Yeah, but I think they'll probably be able to tell when they listen to the song that it's not the same version they've been hearing on the radio. I just listened to it and it's easy to tell it's not the original version.

20. Daniel Merriweather - Red

22. Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks

Haven't watched it yet but I'm guessing this is because of The Voice. Would be AMAZING to see these return to the Top 40 officially!
