Could someone explain me how a person thinks that Collide is a bad song (When it has superb vocals) when he listens Aqua..I can't laugh because it freaks me out..

Superb vocals aren't important to everyone. We all look for different things in music. I'd much rather listen to Cartoon Heroes from Aqua than anything Leona Lewis has done.

Of course, Collide isn't a bad song. It's just that AlexRange has the strangest criteria on which he bases his opinions.

47. LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME- Abba (208,000)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/f9/Lay_All_Your_Love_On_Me.jpg/220px-Lay_All_Your_Love_On_Me.jpg

YEAR: 1981

PEAK POSITION: 7

WKS ON CHART: 7

Released as a third single from “Super Trouper” in 1981 this was an unusual release in so much as it was released only in 12” form, and became, at the time, the highest selling 12” of all time. All of this should make up for the fact that it became the groups lowest peaking chart hit since 1975’s “I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do”.

46. THINK OF YOU- Whigfield (211,000)

The third hit from Whigfield came in the summer of 1995 and sounded, unsurprisingly, much like the first two. What was surprising to most chart watchers that it outsold and out peaked “Another Day”, popular opinion being that her hits would decrease in size/ sales one after another, though of course that pattern was only interrupted very briefly.

45. SAVE THE WORLD- Swedish House Mafia (225,000)

With an uncredited vocal from John Martin (he’d get his reward of a full credit the following year) this became a third top 10 hit for the group in just 9 months. With a promo featuring dogs as crime busters, it was nominated though failed to win the Grammy for the best dance recording.

The only ABBA song I like.

46. THINK OF YOU- Whigfield (211,000)

I don't know this singer, but it's very similar music with my lovely group Me & My

Anthony, Why ? I don't think, that my criteria is strange.

It is very baffling to me what you find entertaining.

Little Talks? One of the best songs ever!
Bré showing excellent taste yet again, Lay All Your Love On Me is indeed ABBA's best single. I still like the Erasure version also, a wise choice of lead track on their EP.
Lay All Your Love On Me is my second favourite ABBA song after The Winner Takes It All I think, amazing song. As for Whigfield, it was a great pop song and I'm glad it outsold Another Day, although it has some rather racy lyrics - 'I need your body tonight', 'I need you inside me tonight'!

In 1981, Alan Jones, (in 'Record Mirror'), called the 12" 'Lay All Your Love On Me', poor value for money. It

was really just a 7" Single, (version), on expensive 12" Vinyl. The Book of 'NME' Singles Charts says it was

extended, but it wasn't.

Alan Jones predicted that its price, & poor value, would stop it being as big a Hit as it would have been on 7"

He was right. It stalled at No.7. It deserved to get a lot higher than that. But, the format was pointless, & the

Single was twice the price of every other Hit in the Charts. ABBA did not want it to be a Single, anyhow. Which

is why they never made a Video for it.

The Single was only released in few Countries. Just as in May 1978, several Countries got 'Eagle' as a Single, and

the UK & Ireland, just had a long gap, between 'Take A Chance On Me', & 'Summer Night City' - no 'Eagle' inbetween.

An outside bet for the Christmas chart topper in 1986, this was a second release from “Scoundrel Days”. Another innovative video saw this become their last top 100 hit in the US but kept the top 10 hits coming on this side of the Atlantic, this one becoming their 6th straight track to do so.

Whilst debut single “Unforgivable Sinner” spent 8 wks at the top in her native Norway this follow up is the one that broke her here. Remixed by Tin Tin Out for its UK release it became her only top 10 hit though her penmanship has shown up subsequently on albums by the likes of Rihanna.

A third release and a third No 1 single for Aqua made them hot property in the charts in 1998, some credit must go to its inclusion on the film “Sliding Doors” which doubtless assisted. I’ve seen several claims that the track samples the 1988 No 1 Pet Shop Boys song “Heart” though I’m unconvinced myself.

"Turn Back Time" and "Cry Wolf". :D Great hits there!

I like "Sitting Down Here", but "You Weren't There" should have been Lene's biggest hit.

Edited by Ne Plus Ultra

Sitting Down Here and Turn Back Time are both great, the latter is Aqua's best song for me - should've been their big song instead of the annoying Barbie Girl (and obviously Doctor Jones which is even worse but wasn't as big thankfully - still bigger than TBT unfortunately). There was a time when I did like Barbie Girl though :kink: It sounds dated now.
