Posted May 26, 201312 yr This was on Viva this afternoon, complete with sales - but I missed it! I hope someone else taped it, as I'd love to see the sales info from it! :) The only figure I got was 1,402,099 for Adele-SLY at #1.
May 26, 201312 yr Author I'm sure it'll be repeated some time in the near future, so don't worry. ^_^ Not imminently, I checked on Digiguide.

May 29, 201312 yr Author How does the Adele figure 'date' the list from your figures vc? Sorry I didnt see it ;-( I can't really tell, since my SLY total also has some physical sales included, too. Hopefully Fiesta's figures will include some that are download only, so I should be able to work the date out from those.
May 30, 201312 yr Here is the list of top selling downloads (only) of all time in UK as broadcast by Viva on Sunday, not sure of the cut off date, however they did mention on the show that 1 billion download mark had been passed on the 8 th April 2013, so whether this is also the cut off date I'm not sure. Ive just put up the song titles to save my fingers, I think everyone will probably know the artists. May 30, 201312 yr Don't Stop Believin' at 923k downloads? :o Does that mean it's a million-seller adding in its physical sales from when it was first released?
May 30, 201312 yr Don't Stop Believin' at 923k downloads? :o Does that mean it's a million-seller adding in its physical sales from when it was first released? I was wondering this aswell but as the physical single only peaked at number 62 with 4 weeks on chart it seems unlikely to have sold nearly 80,000..

So the cutoff is at least within a few days of then, if not exactly then. Of course 'The A Team' and 'Use Somebody' have since passed the million mark. Didn't know 'Rolling In The Deep' had overtaken 'Grenade', great to see - not TOO far off the million mark either :D Edited May 30, 201312 yr by Bré

Run 779590 I assume that is Leona's version, not Snow Patrol's. :) BTW, thanks for posting those - I'll have to print them out & do some comparisons, to see if I can work out the cut-off date

May 30, 201312 yr THanks for posting and vc for dating. Worth noting that Rolling in the deep had physicals too as well as a few others on the list. Was sold out everywhere so could add a good few thousand. Don't think someone like you had a physical though? Take That's rule the world will have a fair few physicals too and must be getting close and obviously james arthur. Cheryl Cole clearly sold 60k+ physical too as we know she's a million seller. Should add 10-15k to I gotta feeling and edge Bad Romance closer to the million too! Generally the older hits will be more affected by physical sales suppose chasing cars had one too?

It should be easy enough for me to estimate physical sales for those songs still in my tracking range, simply by subtracting Fiesta's figures from my overall 13/4 totals.
May 31, 201312 yr Author It should be easy enough for me to estimate physical sales for those songs still in my tracking range, simply by subtracting Fiesta's figures from my overall 13/4 totals. For example, doing the above, I come up with 20-20.5k of physical sales for Chasing Cars.
May 31, 201312 yr I can't really tell, since my SLY total also has some physical sales included, too. "Someone Like You" wasn't released on CD single was it? I know "Rolling In The Deep" was (as I have it), SLY was just download-only as far as I know.
May 31, 201312 yr If so, it's incredible to have a download-only song that is almost in the Top 30 Singles Of All Time! :o
May 31, 201312 yr For example, doing the above, I come up with 20-20.5k of physical sales for Chasing Cars. That's shockingly low proportion of physical sales for a song that came out in 2006! If you can, I'd be interested to see a list oft he best-selling physical singles over the past few years :kink:
