March 22, 201510 yr Yeah - she's recycling a lot of old hooks. She doesn't need to as she seems to be able to come up with new ones that are just as good, if not better as they're less mannered. Out of the three albums it's the one with the best worst song - if that makes sense. Hermet the Frog/Girls and Home wrecker(and possibly others from EH) are weaker than anything on Froot. Better than That has really good verses.
March 22, 201510 yr Can't wait for 'Froot: The Vegitooble Edition' re-release later this year. Yeah - that's a total cop-out. If she has a handful of good songs that she didn't get time to finish then release a new album in 2016 instead of adding a new disc to this in November. Edited March 22, 201510 yr by AntoineTTe
March 22, 201510 yr The re-release will more than likely include the Clean Bandit single plus one or two more. Can't see it happening at all if she drops out of the top 40 and doesn't return next week.
March 22, 201510 yr Clean Bandit single? Yeah they've recorded a collab, I think it's going to be their next single after Stronger. She properly confirmed the collab on Monday.

Can't see it happening at all if she drops out of the top 40 and doesn't return next week. Which is a pity because it's a stronger album than Electra Heart, if maybe less commercial. If she has a handful of good songs that she didn't get time to finish then release a new album in 2016 instead of adding a new disc to this in November. Well considering she only wrote 14/16 songs for the album, she can't really use the remaining tracks to form a new album. Edited March 22, 201510 yr by Nelly. S
March 22, 201510 yr I've nothing against re-releases if they're done properly. Not some sloppy Iggy sh!t. I think it's a really good way of getting your album some extra sales, maybe an extra certification around winter. 'How to be a Heartbreaker' never really clicked with me but I'm sure if it had had a proper single release here followed by an Electra Heart re-release it would have made the era a bit more successful, probably pushed her to gold. Obviously i think you need to have done AT LEAST 40k sales to warrant a re-release though.
March 22, 201510 yr Re-releases are mainly for hugely successful albums, I highly doubt this will get one.
March 22, 201510 yr 10 is rather disappointing. #3 on the digital chart which is great but #16 with physicals - I'm guessing because so many shops weren't stocking it and her store ran out of stock. I don't know what the future of this era is...we'll see. Edited March 22, 201510 yr by Joe.
March 22, 201510 yr I was about to comment to say that my HMV had loads but then I realised HMV were the only shops selling it :( At least it went Top 10 but it should have done a lot better :(
March 22, 201510 yr kind of annoyed she don't get top 5 but just thankful she scraped top 10, very deserving
March 22, 201510 yr #10 isn't really what I hoped for ultimately (plus it probably sold a pitiful amount to get there and will likely go 10-62-out never to be seen again), but relieved it made the top 10 I guess. 'Savages' has emerged as a clear early favourite out of the ones I hadn't previously heard before this week, but I'm still letting the while thing sink in. Fabulous album!
March 22, 201510 yr I wish I knew what the single release plans were? It looks as though Radio 1 have snubbed her but have they? If they were to playlist her the campaign would do fine in the long run I'm sure. I'm assuming she still has some promo to come on the planned release week of the album (6th), as she's doing big promo in the US right now. If so that'll give the album a second week top 40 for sure.
March 22, 201510 yr It'll most likely make up for the bomb here with the sales in the US. I'm not sure where Radio 1 are with Marina but I can't see them not supporting her, I think the impact date for 'I'm A Ruin' was just simply scrapped/delayed. Edited March 22, 201510 yr by Nelly. S
March 22, 201510 yr Radio 1 are done with her I think, I think they gave up on her after 'Power + Control's flop as they didn't support 'How To Be A Heartbreaker'. She's pretty much in the same boat now as La Roux was with her last album.
March 22, 201510 yr Did HTBAHB get a real release here? I thought it was just scrapped and randomly released on iTunes one day?
March 22, 201510 yr Did HTBAHB get a real release here? I thought it was just scrapped and randomly released on iTunes one day? They did randomly release it one day, but it kept getting pushed back (assuming they were holding out for a playlisting). Marina's tweet regarding that random release still cracks me up.
