Pretty good off 2 days sales tbh, Wonder if it can scrape the Top 40 next Sunday...

Better than expected but I'm still annoyed how badly this has been handled. I'm surprised they aren't even performing on This Morning or something.

Are they not doing some extra promotion this week?

It was quite clear they didn't have a Plan B after the boat had passed for them to be playlisted on Radio 1.

I don't think they cared about their chart position. Surely if they did care, it'd be obvious to release the track properly on Monday or at least on Wednesday.

I think it was because of that Alan Carr performance and them not wanting to lose the momentum and gain as much as possible from it.

The track accumulated 5,511 sales in just two days <3

I suppose many of those sales are pre-orders. I expect the album will do better :)
I really hope the album sells consistently but they will need a killer 2nd and 3rd single for it to happen. I'm hoping they are the sort of artists who get low top 40 position in the singles charts (maybe with an occasional top 10 breakout hit every now and then) but have the album consistently in the charts.
Ok so this isn't going to plan?! Are they even promoting this week... Daybreak, this morning, loose women, song played in X factor... Corrie - anything?!!
There should be This Morning and something else (Sunday Brunch?). The dates are not confirmed, though, so who knows.
Can't believe they haven't done any promo this week they obviously aren't bothered, which is good as it looks likely to peak outside the Top 40!

Given how long we've been waiting for and the fact that it was even pushed back makes this quite irritating.

I think more effort went into promoting Ghosts and that didn't even chart.

#40 in today's midweeks, but will obviously fall a fair few places come Sunday.

One picture from a good angle is not gonna convince me, but she is looking better as this era unfolds. I find it hard to believe that after paying out £1m for MKS Polydor have managed to mess up the comeback single release so much. Hopefully it will be a wake up call and they can do better with the next.
