At #8 (perhaps a little too high for a song that Leona barely features on, as good as it is) is 2008 charity collaboration single "Just Stand Up!". It's actually an incredibly good song as well as being for charity, so despite it perhaps being undeserving in a rank of Leona songs, it does contain many merits. At #7 is the other half of Leona's double A-side release, "Better In Time". It almost reached #1 in the UK, and lost by one of the smallest margins ever. It's another very sweet Leona ballad, obviously not near her highs of "Bleeding Love"/"Run", but it would've been nice for her to gain another #1 single with it, displaying her utter domination in late 2007/early 2008. She had to wait until December of 2008 for her third (and to-date final) #1, which we'll hear more about soon!

If Happy had to make the top, at least it was no higher than #10. Just Stand Up above Naked though is ridiculous.

Pretty much a perfect Top 6 to come then imo.

I hope its like this -

1. Take a Bow

2. Bleeding Love

3. Outta My Head

4. Glassheart

5. Run

6. Come Alive

01 Outta My Head

02 Run

03 Come Alive

04 Take a Bow

05 Bleeding Love

n-1 Glassheart

n = the number of Leona Lewis songs in total

01 Glassheart

02 Bleeding Love

03 Come Alive

04 Run

05 Outta My Head

06 Take a Bow

DAT top 3 *_*

It is an absolute travesty that 'Outta My Head' is the highest-rated Echo track on Buzzjack but then it's hardly surprising - most people eat up anything Max Martin produces on here. -_-

At least 'Happy' is top 10.

I hope:

01 Glassheart

02 Bleeding Love

03 Take a Bow

04 Run

05 Come Alive

06 Outta My Head

But I think:

01 Bleeding Love

02 Run

03 Glassheart

04 Outta My Head

05 Take A Bow

06 Come Alive

Edited by SceneofSIXCrimes

I'm not a big Max fan really, I find a lot of his stuff totally lacking in melody. Outta My Head though is so high (my favourite Leona song) because it's something so very different in her repetoire. Unlike someone like Collide which is limp and lifeless, that is how you do an uptempo song for a big voice diva like her.

Finishing in fifth and sixth positions are two songs which are completely different to the rest of Leona's back catalogue. At #6 is the ultimate fan-favourite song "Outta My Head", which as stated by SceneofSIXCrimes, is a Max Martin number, so perhaps it's not a surprise. It was a massive shock upon Echo's release to hear Leona singing in this style of music, and there was outrage that it wasn't choice as the second single over the limper "I Got You". "Come Alive" is the second in this pairing, and featured a more dub-step take on Leona. It was first heard at her performance slot at 2012's Hackney Weekend, giving fans their first taste of what was to come with the album. It didn't disappoint in full, and this along with "Glassheart" the song showcased another new side to Leona. I personally prefer the latter, but both are excellent songs, deserving their places in the top ten (and "Come Alive" is much better than "Outta My Head" in my opinion).

Both are fantastic songs and both should have been singles imo, Leona actually does fast songs really well.

At #3 and #4 are another two songs which are sonically different to the majority of Leona's output, and indeed the albums in which they are from. "Take A Bow" just misses out on a top three placing, combining Leona's powerful vocals with a more synthesised production. It's not my favourite from Spirit by any meaning, but I do enjoy the break from ballads, with a bit of R&B thrown into the album. "Glassheart" again includes more contemporary elements to it, and although vocally it may not be as powerful as her other up-tempos, I absolutely love the beat on it, making it one of my favourites from the album.

Come Alive is the sound of an artist GETTING what they are about, but tailoring it to the current musical landscape. If only Glassheart had such a sensibility for melody and tune, then it too could have been a gem.
Wot? Glassheart only #3? Fully expected this to come second after Bleeding Love (let this be #1 please)

Ahhh! Take A Bow should have been top 3, and Glassheart is immense, another 3 songs that should have been singles!

Both Run and Bleeding Love are two of her best singles, but Bleeding Love is better.

So pipping a worldwide SMASH to the post by a considerably large margin, "Run", originally by Snow Patrol, but made arguably more famous by Leona, takes the win! First performed for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in 2007 to promote the release of her post-X Factor début single, fans and non-fans alike wanted to hear it again and again, so much so that Leona recorded her own version for release on the deluxe edition of her début album. It premièred in late 2008, and the haunting vocals, production and music video combination sent the song to everyone's hearts and it became Leona's third UK #1. I don't care what other people say, it's an absolutely gorgeous cover version, right down to the notes on the piano and I would definitely rank it amongst my favourite songs of all time. I would, however, find it difficult to decide my favourite of the top two here, "Bleeding Love" just finishing second. It was released in October 2007 and smashed records, as the public had waited so long for her comeback single. It was given a worldwide push and became the first single by a British female solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 since the 80s (Kim Wilde I think?), with many people also being able to relate to the message of the song.

I don't think I've been as big a fan as a top two on an artist rate before, but this one has to be one of the best yet! Thank you so much for rating, commenting and generally contributing to the countdown. Even I'm surprised by the speed in which it was compiled, but there was a time limit so perhaps I should always try that method! Here's the full rundown again:

Ahh Run is a fantastic cover, tbh probably one of my favourite cover songs of all time! but Bleeding Love is definitely superior imo
THAT X Factor performance, STILL gives me chills everytime I listen to it. It's flawless.

Lovely to see Run at #1, I really love both that and Bleeding Love but Run is just like the best song ever :D
