It draws with "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", a cover of the Oasis song of the same name, and it reached the top 40 in December 2009 after it was performed by Leona on the final of The X Factor. It's a nice interpretation of the song, but one feels that it was clearly made to recreate the magic of "Run" (still to come), and it doesn't managed that. Another cover, "Colorblind", originally by Counting Crows, is at #33. It's not my favourite Leona song by a mile, but it's another nice cover lifted from Hurt: The EP, and I imagine it was so popular with fans that it was decided to be included on Glassheart (and have a music video of sorts produced). Another Glassheart song, this time the official second single which bombed majorly, "Lovebird" is at #32. It's again a nice enough song, but it was an incredibly silly choice of single, and didn't even chart within the UK top 200. "Alive" is the only Echo song in this bunch, and that's all I can tell you about it. Edited June 24, 201312 yr by THEO.
June 20, 201312 yr Surely 'Run' is a more likely winner? (Unless you removed that song to prove your point somewhat, in that case, ignore this :P) 'Alive' is absolutely stunning. The ultimate underrated/under appreciated track from 'Echo'. Really reminds me of Lisa Miskovsky's 'I'm Still Alive' that was featured in the 'Mirror's Edge' game. Not too fussed about any of the other tracks too much (they're all great, but she definitely has done better!) 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' is lovely though.
June 21, 201312 yr Yeah, I'm sure it will be up there, but along with a whole pile of undeserving stuff.
June 21, 201312 yr Glassheart to win please! The rest of the top 10 should include Come Alive, Bleeding Love, Better In Time and I to You Edited June 21, 201312 yr by *Tim
June 21, 201312 yr 'I To You' is terrible. I really do not see the fuss with that song (or 'Shake You Up'!).
June 21, 201312 yr 'I To You' is terrible. I really do not see the fuss with that song (or 'Shake You Up'!). Just when I started to like you -_-
June 21, 201312 yr Shake You Up is like Rachel Stevens lite and when you're already as light as AIR, then you're not in a good place.
June 21, 201312 yr Just when I started to like you -_-"started"? "STARTED"? What kinda f***ery is this STARTim!? Shake You Up is like Rachel Stevens lite and when you're already as light as AIR, then you're not in a good place.Definitely agree. It baffles me as to how people genuinely regard it as being a "highlight". Same with 'I To You'. Both just as dull as each other. 'Glassheart' is easily her weakest album on the whole. Despite having some genuine *.* moments. But 'Echo' is an album just about full of them, so that wins.
June 21, 201312 yr I agree with 50% of that, Glassheart ranks above Spirit for me, because the latter has a lot of blandorama crap and Glassheart only really has 2/3 tracks that fall under that heading. I To You is one of my highlights though, I guess I can see why it might not be big with everyone, but I do love me a nice melodic mid-tempo ballard.
June 21, 201312 yr "started"? "STARTED"? What kinda f***ery is this STARTim? Fake it till you make it ! JK I had to say something and this was the first thing to come to mind

It's another pop-R&B number with a nice hook. "Let It Rain", the B-Side to "Happy" is next, followed by two Glassheart album tracks in a tie. The first of which, "I To You", was co-written by Emeli Sandé, and is one of the darker songs on the album, along with the lead single, "Trouble" (also co-written with Sandé: more on that later). The second, "Fireflies", was intended as the album's second single, and despite an uplifting final chorus and a few live performances of it, it made no impact on the chart. "I Got You" and "A Moment Like This" are tied at 25th; the former of which arguably lost any continued momentum for Leona on its release in 2010, despite having a fairly catchy hook, it became her first single to miss the UK top five. "A Moment Like This", on the other hand, is the song that kicked it all of for Leona, and became the fastest-selling single ever after she won The X Factor in 2006. Edited June 24, 201312 yr by THEO.
June 23, 201312 yr 'I Got You' is absolutely stunning. Inside my Top 5 (almost top 3 if I was to properly think about it!) EASILY. <3 So beautiful. I like 'Yesterday' and 'Fireflies' too, as well as 'A Moment Like This'. 'I To You' though, is dull. I should have given it less than a 6 tbh.
June 24, 201312 yr Author 24: (8.111) From 'Glassheart' Highest rate: 11 (Leona K) Lowest rate: 4 (SceneofSIXCrimes) 23: "Trouble" (ft. The Childish Gambino edit was the version that originally premièred, featuring a darker side to Leona and an even darker rap middle eight from Childish Gambino, until the music video was released and he was nowhere to be seen or heard! It was added as a bonus track to the release of the album. "Un Love Me" is a fairly by-numbers Leona ballad that we should be used to by this point, although I'm fairly perplexed as to how it's above the majority of the album here. "Sugar" was released only on the 'deluxe' edition of Glassheart, and is a fairly decent mid-tempo number that should really have been placed on the original album. "Hurt" was released as a 3-song covers EP in December 2011 as a Christmas treat for loyal Leona fans who had been waiting patiently for the release of Glassheart after it had been pushed back due to "Collide"'s (more on that soon) under-performance. A cover of a Nine Inch Nails(?)/Johnny Cash song, it angered 'real music' fans, but I personally love the arrangement and Leona's vocals on it.
June 24, 201312 yr So glad 'I Got You' failed to make the top 20. ^_^ Such a dull song. Come on 'Happy', 'Take A Bow' and 'Glassheart'. :cheer: Also, sad to see the CG version of 'Trouble' crash out already. It's far better than the solo version.
June 24, 201312 yr Trouble itself is a decent song, but the CG version is pretty weak. How anyone thought that was the song to bring her back to smashing the charts I do not know.
June 24, 201312 yr Trouble itself is a decent song, but the CG version is pretty weak. How anyone thought that was the song to bring her back to smashing the charts I do not know. How is the CG version weaker than the solo? The rap is the only difference and I think it's a brilliant verse. The lyrics are absolutely brilliant. I doubt 'Trouble' would've been as successful without the CG version since that was the one that got playlisted by Radio 1.
June 24, 201312 yr I don't like rap and that's a particularly unpleasant one to listen to, therefore it's a weaker version of the song imo.
