February 27, 201213 yr Author Someone is putting some serious effort into Tone this era Look Back being performed live on Skavlan, a Svenska og Norsk talk show. B_hPy56RW8Q Not her best live performance but still enjoyable. The views for my video of Look Back have hit 92k and the official video is up to 825k (!!!) pretty impressive for a country of 4m people.
February 27, 201213 yr Fantastic song still after hearing the live. The only criticism I'll give for the wonderful track is that she shouldn't try to force her high notes out (heART,smART,LaTE) as it sounds awful and can come across as going off pitch.
February 27, 201213 yr i have gained 2 loons already this year her as well as ariana grande :o that performance is great :) but i neeed a new single :/
April 18, 201213 yr Tone Damli is releasing a Best Of album at the end of this month: http://s.cdon.com/media-dynamic/images/product/music/album/image4/looking_back-19054182-frntl.jpg 01 Look Back 02 Butterflies 03 Stuck In My Head (feat. Vinni) 04 Save Me (feat. Maddji) 05 I Know 06 The Bliss Song 07 I Love You 08 Summerlove 09 Imagine (feat. Eric Saade) 10 Crazy Cool 11 Fever 12 Here I Am 13 Young & Foolish 14 No Way Out (feat. Corrine Baily Rae) 15 Ghosts (feat. Andreas Johnson) 16 Somewhere Soft To Land
April 18, 201213 yr Author I SPY NEW MATERIAL. *loon mode activated* Next to No Way Out that say Corrine Baily Rae, yes? *DIES* She somehow just managed to take that song to the next level of epic. Love the album name, this will have to be purchased immediately for my collection. It's great to see Here I Am on there, shame Ghosts is though. The thing she recorded it with ensures it's her worst song, by a mile.
April 18, 201213 yr There does indeed appear to be a fair share of new material, as well as a lot of hair. The Eric Saade duet is intriguing, they seem like polar opposites musically. I'm also looking forward to seeing was Corrine adds to No Way Out. I do agree that Ghosts probably should have been left off, it actually is her worst song.
April 18, 201213 yr Author The insane hair look reminds me of Delta from the Delta era and the Herbal Essences (I think) advert where she had so much hair she makes Tone look like a skinhead. I'm rather looking forward to hearing the Tone/Saade duet mainly because, like you said, they are polar opposites.
April 18, 201213 yr Another essential purchase to add to my list! Corinne seems like such a strange/unexpected collaboration, I can't really imagine her vocals on No Way Out at all :o
April 19, 201213 yr Author I just pre-ordered this for the delightful sum of £20.41 (inc postage). This is however my favourite artist so I'm happy to spend twice what I normally would for a UK CD to get this.
April 19, 201213 yr I still need to hear a lot of the songs from the Greatest Hits . I hope hearing it on YouTube won't disappoint me after the release of the album. Really need a Look Back Part II.. Edited April 19, 201213 yr by Oricon
April 19, 201213 yr Author There is 3 completely new songs (Summerlove, Imagine and Save Me), 1 altered song (No Way Out), 11 'hits' not all of which charted and then her worst song (Ghosts. Andreas Johnson can cunt right off). Ignoring the 3 new tracks and rating the normal No Way Out this is my ranking of Looking Back (with youtube links for those who haven't heard the older stuff)[/loon] *Warning! Major looning ahoy!* 11/10 || || Bitch came back with a bang! My favourite song of this year so far, by far. ∞/10 || || My favourite song of all time. It just makes me smile like no other song could. Twee it may be but it's catchy, loveable, string laden and beautifully sung by a Nordic Beauty. What more could you want? It's pop perfection. 11/10 || || More like Vinni feat. Tone Damli but that aside this song does exactly what it says on the tin, it gets stuck in your head. It's the type of song that sounds like a car crash on first listen but makes you hit repeat anyway then proceeds to grow like crazy. 11/10 || || Live my arse! A truly lovely uplifting pop song, also string laden. I do like how the strings are being spread out, someone very clever arranged this tracklist. 08/10 || The Bliss Song || This really sums up Bliss as an album. Easy listening, inoffensive and occasionally rather pleasant without being outstanding. This being one of the few tracks out of the 6-7/10 zone the first two albums occupy. 13/10 || I Love You || I fooking LOVE belting this out whilst driving along a country road. More strings and more punch than I Know this epic pop love balladry really kicked off my Tone Damli looning as I was on the come-down from discovering Butterflies. 11/10 || Crazy Cool || "What do you do when the sun comes out and you got nothing to complain about? Do you look down to the ground?" No Tone, I play this epic. Following ILY both in this track list and in the chronological order of her singles. (Both from Cocool) this is a great funky pop track that was Tone's first voyage into the more uptempo sounds. This, ILY and Butterflies were mixed together with a sprinkle of I Know and No Way Out to create Look Back. 09/10 || Fever || The first of Tone's singles to chart! (This was her 3rd release) It started Tone's trend of top10 or DNC with a peak of 6. Evolving from Bliss' sound slightly Sweet Fever (2nd album) is largely inoffensive, easy listening background music. This is a lovely song and my highlight of albums 1&2. 10/10 || || A delightful catchy number from I Know. Really nice to listen too and sway along too. Such a leap in quality from Bliss/Sweet Fever to I Know/Cocool. 06/10 || Young & Foolish || Not on youtube, but its oddly country for Tone. Not terrible, not great either. Nice to have on in the background 13/10 || No Way Out (feat. Corrine Baily Rae) || My good god this song is incredible. Beating ILY to 2nd place in my ranking is this amazing pop track. There is plenty of strings for Rich, it's catchy as hell and just generally lovely. 01/10 || || A song absolutely destroyed by the presence of noted scum Andreas Johnson who is literally the single worst thing Scandinavia has inflicted upon the world. The only Tone Damli song I would rate less than 6/10 and it does so by quite some distance. God awful and one to avoid. Stripped of the scum this would probably be a 7/10. There is a good song hidden in there. 06/10 || || Nice but very much background music that's just nice to have playing. Yes I am a complete loon for this woman. Yes she has 3 life enhancing songs and a further 4 moments. Allow.
April 20, 201213 yr My BRIEF rates: (from a quick listen and I'm stealing your layout without permission.) 11/10 || Look Back || Absolute GEM discovered from BJSC thanks to Silas. It was a grower however and not instant. 10/10 || Butterflies || Another grower for me, this would be my 3rd play of the song. Had it been first it would've received a 7/10 MAX. 08/10 || Stuck In My Head (feat. Vinni) || This VINNI DUDE RUINS THE SONG. I am not a fan of raps on songs unless it's used in a superb way or in K-Pop songs when I do not understand a single lyric. 11/10 for Tone Damli but combined with Vinni's 7/10, this only gets 08/10. Wish there was a solo version with just Tone's vocals. 08/10 || I Know || I have no idea how to describe this song. It seems to be an album filler track for me. Rather pleasant to listen to but isn't a standout compared to Look Back/Butterflies. 02/10 || The Bliss Song || This song is very DULL and BORING. It sounds like an unreleased demo as well which doesn't help it much. 10/10 || I Love You || I love this song, it's an instant as well. Cannot describe the feeling of it though, romantic? It is not. Uptempo and mood lifting? It isn't either. 09/10 || Crazy Cool || Very lively song from Tone after hearing all the above. It's very jammable and I can dance to it hence why the 9/10 for it. It's also catchier than the above songs too! 04/10 || Fever || This is just like The Bliss Song, only a little bit slightly better. I'm taking a guess both of these are her earlier materials, something which I don't enjoy as much sadly :( 09/10 || Catchy definitely. Just like Crazy Cool, it's very happy and mood lifting with a country sound attached to it. xx/10 || Young & Foolish || Cannot judge as I cannot hear it :( 11/10 || No Way Out (feat. Corrine Baily Rae) || This...is ANOTHER GEM. It's basically a Look Back Part II for me and I shall not repeat my love for that track. Her second best song here (only right behind Look Back which is my favourite). 06/10 || Ghosts (feat. Andreas "The c**t" Johnson) || This isn't AS BAD as Phil makes it imo. The guy's vocals are rather up and down but surely Tone Damli covers it well with him. 05/10 || It's a filler, not too interesting and yet not as boring as The Bliss Song and Fever. It's pleasasnt if played on a day where one is having a panic with this played quietly in the background amongst the chitter chat. Overall this album shall be a 08/10 for me. It's very up and down in places. But £20 is a bit expensive for the album, but if found in some HMV here, I would purchase it right away without hesitation.
April 21, 201213 yr Author OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG 1min 30 of Imagine has leaked!!!!! xCzkzDcMKJk Literally STANNING so hard right now there is like srs spazzing going on. I know the quality is a bit shit, but that song is insane. I never EVER thought I'd get to hear Tone sing a proper uptempo track like this. I'm absolutely in love with the clip. Heard it like 3 times and I'm already singing along it's just so instant and catchy. Seriously AMAZINGNESS going on in that clip. I NEED that full song in HQ in my life NOW. Looking Back is on course to be OUTSTANDING.
April 21, 201213 yr The melody sounds a lot like Atomic Kitten's I Won't Be There to me. LOVE the electro verses though, it's definitely more of an Eric sounding production than a Tone one, whoever thought we'd hear Tone on a track like this.
April 21, 201213 yr Author NcY5nnhYYOo WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE HOW AMAZING THIS IS. Seriously LOONING ongoing atm.
April 21, 201213 yr Yeah it's great, Tone never fails to deliver does she! I'm no loon but I can't deny a 100% strike rate dating back over three years!
April 21, 201213 yr :o wow. This is so much better than I've expected. Really catchy, a really good song. I have to DL buy the album :kink:
April 21, 201213 yr Author Yeah it's great, Tone never fails to deliver does she! I'm no loon but I can't deny a 100% strike rate dating back over three years! I am a loon but am happy to admit that her first two albums were generally poor but from I Know onwards she has been pretty much flawless. Every single has been incredible and this MUST be released. Imma have to email her management on Monday detailing a release plan for the UK to capitalise on Carly Rae Jepsen's success. If there is ever a time for Tone to break through, it's now.
April 21, 201213 yr Author :o wow. This is so much better than I've expected. Really catchy, a really good song. I have to DL buy the album :kink: The whole greatest hits album is 80kr on 7digital! (Like £8-9, €9-10)
