June 25, 201312 yr Author I was contemplating to see this over the weekend but it looks pretty shit to me, I'd rather watch repeats of The Walking Dead. I'm quite looking forward to Pacific Rim next month, Pacific Rim 2 is to follow. If you switch your brain off it's action-ey enough, but I have problems with internal illogic in films. I can accept a virus that turns you into I can accept a virus that turns you into a zombie in 10 seconds as a premise, but it shouldnt be too hard to write a logical script around that. The way the world reacts is just silly, we've seen with 9/11 and icelandic volcanoes it doesnt take much to ground planes for a start. A million invading zombies would surely cause countries to be a bit more careful about who they let in but these hardworking chaps and chapesses keep the airlines running regardless bless em...
June 25, 201312 yr I'm gonna watch this at some point, it looks reasonable enough. I'm worried that it's gonna be pretty dreadful though, as most of the big-name action films seem to have been this year. :(
July 1, 201311 yr I wanted to watch this over the weekend but changed my mind, i want to read the book first, so i'll probably watch this when its out on dvd
July 1, 201311 yr Oh yes, I went to watch this on Saturday. It was gripping and action-packed, although seems a bit shady that as soon as Brad Pitt came to Israel zombies got through the wall. You can't help but wanting to yell at the screen STOP THE f***ING SINGING YOU f***ING IDIOTS as well  But yeah, the timing seems a bit weird. Also, how did the zombie get into the airplane compartment thing or whatever? Yeah, it must've got there from another country but how it got inside without harming people or people noticing it?! Really shady. Same with the family shipped off to Scotland. Although I liked the solution they found against the problem. Edited July 1, 201311 yr by Pavslut
July 1, 201311 yr I wanted to watch this over the weekend but changed my mind, i want to read the book first, so i'll probably watch this when its out on dvd Seeing the film first won't spoil the book as the only thing they used from the book is the title. In fact if anything you'll probably enjoy the film more without reading it
July 11, 201311 yr Right, I saw this couple of days ago so its still quite fresh, here is my review: * It jumps far too quickly into the action. No build up whatsoever, one miute they are in the iamspamamispamwhoamspam the next they are being chased by zombies :S * The mother and daughter acting is hilarious, god knows where they got them from * The film turns into a bit of a comedy towards the end which kind of ruins it. * The action scenes and the cgi are still quite good to be fair. * Overall the story is great, but you cant help but feel it could of been so much more. Overall 6/10 still worth a watch but don't expect to much from it.
