Surprised there was not a topic for this! :o

 

Anyway episode one was on last night and I was thoroughly disappointed by it. Nothing happened at all and was pretty much just Effy pissing about in an office for 45 minutes, I found what was going on with Naomi far more interesting personally and part of the reason why I will stick with the next episode., and the fact that Emily returns for the next episode too!

 

Anyone else watch it? What were your opinions?

Not watched it yet but most reviews have been very good so I'll catch up soon. I never liked Naomi at all but always thought Effy was the best series 3/4 cast member so it should be up my street.

I found it a little dull in all honesty. For a two parter, it didn't seem a very good episode. Felt a bit fillerish and their wasn't much of a story towards it.

I've yet to watch it, but I have been hearing from a few people that it wasn't very good at all, so not really expecting much. :(

The second episode was considerably better but the ending was a bit depressing to say the least with Effy going to prison and Naomi dead. LOVELY AND CHEERY AS ALWAYS.

Kaya Scodelario was superb (big Hollywood career on the horizon, methinks - she's already had buzz from an indie at US festivals) but I must admit all the financial stuff went way over my head. To be honest, there was just too much drama piled into one narrative for it to be believable that all that would happen to one person - especially Effy - but it still hit pretty hard.

I fully agree with this, would have preferred a better/happier ending for Effy though!

 

Urgh, Cassie is one of my least favourite characters in skins :unsure:

To be honest, as much as I think Kaya is a great actress, I found Effy to be ridiculously unlikeable and hard to warm to. I was much more interested in Naomi.

I really don't think Effy was played well at all but Naomi was almost always spot on. Love Cassie but the story screams been there done that. Perhaps the stalker is Sketch haha.
