July 4, 201312 yr Why don't they reduce it today?! What are they doing? Are they allowed to do it or not? If not, I don't get what they are playing it they can do it? Especially while it's still at #13 and has a chance - however much - of keeping top 10, even if it is #10... a top 10 peak would save face a little. Are they not bothered or just clueless and deluded? Edited July 4, 201312 yr by Encore
July 4, 201312 yr Author Why don't they reduce it today?! Their management have no common sense. I've tweeted http://www.twitter.com/WeLovePop & https://twitter.com/polydorrecords numerous times but have had no reply!
July 4, 201312 yr I can't remember but I think it's iTunes and not the label who decide what songs to reduce to 59/79p. It could be worse. It could be #28 and that Michael creature could be proven right. I don't even think they'll make that, they're shit and not real music like Daft Punk and John Newman!!1!1 (in all seriousness, this was a risk anyway so although I'm a bit gutted it will miss the top 10 I can't say I'm too surprised really :()
July 4, 201312 yr I know, it's stupid but I'm sure I read that! I think the management can like ask them to reduce it or something so I guess they could do that.
July 4, 201312 yr Author I'm so over the SaTURDays :coffee: Its all about the iconic MKS. Toby, take that back! We all know single 3 is going to be amazing.
July 4, 201312 yr Author I was only joking!(kind of) Listen to 'What About Us' and pretend this release never happened.
July 4, 201312 yr Oh well. That's the thing with taking risks, sometimes it pays off and others it doesn't. It's not that big of a deal.
July 4, 201312 yr so now that it flopped you're pretending that it never happen? i bet if it were #1 on itunes you all would be like "i'm starting to love this", "i just realized how amazing this is" "i knew the risk would pay off" etc.
July 4, 201312 yr Oh well. That's the thing with taking risks, sometimes it pays off and others it doesn't. It's not that big of a deal. +1 finally one good post here...
July 4, 201312 yr Oh well. That's the thing with taking risks, sometimes it pays off and others it doesn't. It's not that big of a deal. There was a really nice speech about risks in Teen Wolf (if anyone is watching). The coach (who is also a teacher lol) is talking about the stock market which is based on two principles ; risk and reward. So he takes out a mug and a quarter and tells his students they have to put it through the mug you know to "win". The scene looks like this : Coach : McCall! Risk or reward? The risk ; if you don't put that quarter in the mug, you have to take the quiz and you have to write an essay. Risk ; moooore work. Reward : no work at all!... Or choose not to play. Scott : But isn't it just chance? Coach : No, you know your ability, your coordination, your focus, past experience, all factors affecting the outcome. So what is it gonna be, McCall? More work? No work? Or...Choose not to play. And Scott decides not to play. And later in the episode, Scott is talking about it with another guy. Scott : [...] Risk and reward... Derek : Which means what?! Scott : We're not measuring the risk with enough information. We don't know enough. (He says that because they about to put their lives in danger) Anyway, my point is...This principle can also work with the music scene. The Saturdays (or their management, team, etc) have been doing their jobs for like years now. They are supposed to know how this works, but also they are supposed to know everything about The Saturdays (musically, I mean). They should know what works, what pays off, etc. That scene was really good, though, because Scott actually decided not to play, to not take the risk. It's not about chance, it's about knowing yourself, your past experience, etc...and this works for The Saturdays and the release of Gentleman too. They know what kind of music have sold some of their previous albums, what haven't, etc. They shouldn't have taken the risk.
July 4, 201312 yr this is shaping to be their biggest flop ever but i'm proud of this release, they finally released something different i guess they thought they have bigger fan base so it would be top 10 single no matter what...
July 4, 201312 yr this is shaping to be their biggest flop ever but i'm proud of this release, they finally released something different i guess they thought they have bigger fan base so it would be top 10 single no matter what... I think we all thought they had a fan base that would get them a top 10 single.
July 4, 201312 yr Yes, that was the plan. Goes top 10 (maybe like #8 or #9), then drop to #36, then #57, then #89 and then OUT. That is still a flop, but we all thought the fanbase was big enough to put them in the top 10. Now we will probably have a similar chartrun, but without the actual top 10. *cries*
July 4, 201312 yr I'm starting to get the awful thought this is going to chart at something like #15.
July 4, 201312 yr The only explanation is that a good amount of their fans don't like the song (cough cough) Oh well, as long as it charts higher than MHTO it won't be a complete embarrassment. Edited July 4, 201312 yr by LoveKiller
