Euphoria is about as EDM as Starships and On The Floor is (i.e. it's pop with dance influences)

What about Release Me?

That was marketed as a dance song, but if you guys think it's too pop I'll take it out. It is debatable as I said
If With Every Heartbeat isn't dance then Release Me can't be! I would say Release Me is pop.

I guess it's only fair that Release Me should not count, to be fair it does sound very pop.

Replace your Release Me nominations people!

Release Me has always been pop for me. No matter how it was marketed.
It didn't occur to me that Rogue Traders 'Voodoo Child' would count for this, so that and Katy B feat Ms Dynamite 'Lights On' can replace Agnes and Robyn for me.

Who said that would count?

I nominated it, I always thought of it as a dance song and it used to appear in the dance charts and on Club Anthems compilations.

However, I appreciate that it's borderline and if you don't accept it you can replace my nomination for it with Strike's U Sure Do!

Wikipedia describes Voodoo Child as 'pop-rock', 'dance-pop' and 'electropop'.

:cheer:

Theo's nomination of Would I Lie To You isn't even borderline dance, that's more of a soul/R&B song!

Another one I had trouble deciding about was You Won't Forget About Me by Dannii Minogue vs. Flower Power. I know she's usually a pop artist (although likewise Kelly Rowland/Florence + The Machine who also have nominations with their dance songs/remixes) but that's definitely a dance song imo, so if that's allowed you can put it in instead of Voodoo Child/U Sure Do in my nominations.

You Won't Forget About Me is essentially Dannii singing over a Flower Power instrumental, so yes I think that counts

I've edited out Voodoo Child then and replaced it with that!
