I don't know if Shane was given some wrong info and he thought Radio 1 were just playing it like they would with any other track, but they actually only played it as part of their midweek chart run down in which they always play the new entries. Regardless it's good exposure for the track, but it's not about to be added to their playlist.

Wanted to like this but I find it very cliche and bland

what little promo can do - Shane was on BBC Radio 2 today and the single climbed up the UK Singles iTunes chart at #35 while he was #50 just a few hours ago

The EP also climbed the UK Album iTunes chart from #8 to #6.

Tomorrow he will be performing on This morning so hopefully this would also help.

Shane is officially #7 in Ireland.

I was sure he would be higher as the single and the EP as a whole did very well on iTunes. Nonetheless, I think this is very good for Shane as it is not easy for an ex boybander to start a solo career.

Here is the performance of Everytime:

Shane had a first proper gig yesterday and today he tweeted this:

Still buzzing from last night but even more excited about next week !!

3 big announcements!!!

Stay tuned guys..

1st one on Monday!!

Well on the whole this has so far done a bit better than I thought it would. One of my friends is a huge Westlife fan and loves this new solo stuff of Shane's so perhaps I did underestimate the strength of his fanbase even if it's not quite the 2000 levels of hysteria.
Aargh, this song has been stuck in my head the last day or two now, it's very catchy and from someone like him who I ain't so keen on ETM is very decent
