I think Lucy Spraggan will miss the top 75 with this new single, which I didn't think would've happened back when she was on The X Factor - she really did have the potential to be a female Ed Sheeran or something, but she's been so poorly handled (the deleting of her previous singles [Last Night is still not available to download], the quick dropout of the show [not her fault of course as she couldn't help but be sick] and the lack of hype or airplay have all contributed to her being forgotten about)

Avril really should've released the day after her Voice performance, the wait really has been too long. I think comparisons to Your Body are right.

Selena will do well, she'll probably do a Bridgit Mendler but not a Demi Lovato (we have Miley Cyrus for that in a few weeks)

I'm actually a tad surprised that we're yet to see a high charting Miley fake appear. The only 'We Can't Stop' fake top 1500 is this:

1294. Mona Centys - We Can't Stop

That said there's plenty of time before release so we could have another 'I Love It' on our hands yet.

She'll definitely get top 40 I think, her pre-order reached the top 150 when it was initially released and has spent quite a lot of time in the top 1500 so I'm expecting it to enter iTunes at around #40 when iTunes updates tonight and it should be able to climb at least a few places. I think she'll achieve around #25 officially, but it's a shame that she isn't going to be more successful like you say. :(

Miley is going to #1, calling it now.

It's going to happen, isn't it :( If it wasn't for the shock factor of "omg Miley Cyrus is twerking in her video" the song wouldn't be having this much hype.

Sex sells = True fact

Lucy is currently #15 on Irish iTunes so I think around #20 is possible here.

I think he'll be #1 by 1am! :kink: As soon as iTunes has updated a couple of times anyway as it usually takes a couple of updates until all the pre-orders are added.

I raise this to 1.01 am

If this goes to #1, I will officially lose all of my faith in the British public. I'll become one of those people (naming no names ) that always moan about the stuff at the top end of the chart.

Actually, this year's #1s to me are very, very decent! An amazing one is yet to come but a lot of very solid tracks came to the top already.

I actually like this song, it's much better than the absolute rubbish 2013's produced for the most part! Some music this year, just ugh! Pass the bucket.

What would we have done without P!nk to be our saviour for commercial music?

OH MY GOD.

I CAN'T EVEN.

JUST CAN'T.

Sex sells = True fact

Well, it sells if doing sex is a notable thing for the artist in question. Madge twerking would be seen as desperate and harm her sales more than anything, for example. Miley just has the tried and tested "good girl gone bad" thing going for her (because apparently nobody remembers 'Can't Be Tamed').

I live in hope that something will block that execrable Cyrus drivel. :manson:

What an ostentatious post!

Ooh I loved that song! I used to listen to it when doing essays. In fact, I'm doing one right now so amma listen to it again right now!

Miley would be hated on here whatever she did, I think it is a refreshing and unexpected sound from her and I haven't always been her biggest fan. I hated Cant Be Tamed.

What an superfluous post!
