Ellie just needs to do a performance on 'Americas Got Talent' and maybe an interview or two on a late night talk show or two, and it would start rising rapidly. She doesn't do much promo around here.

 

I agree, ' Anything Could Happen' should have been a bigger hit though. Ellie promoted it and it was performed three times on xFactor USA.

The thing is - Ellie has really been working her arse off promoting in the US market from as long as I can remember. She relentlessly toured for Lights, I even recall her giving a 2 hr show at a local Best Buy in Minneapolis during winter to promote her songs. She's now opening act for Bruno Mars and again, is touring the US.... she's doing everything right in my books. The problem is that radio just doesn't want to play her songs, and hence the average listener has no clue who she is, or that she's got a new record out.

 

The fact that 'Burn' spent nearly a week in the iTunes top 20 on release without a modicum of airplay speaks for her growing fanbase and recognition in the US. But then again, in this country, no radio support means you'll be dead and gone in a few years' (or months') time.
