July 13, 201312 yr Author After 29 predictions, the average is 153k... And after 41 it is little different, at 152k.
July 13, 201312 yr 225k On the basis of Daft Punk 155k +35 = Robin Thicke 190k +35 = Avicii 225k. :heehee:
July 14, 201312 yr Author I see the opportunistic late predictors  have pushed the average up to 160k (54 votes).
July 14, 201312 yr Well we all still predicted before it was released, so there's nothing wrong with that as it gives the most clear indicator as to how well something will do! Nevertheless it's been looking like a 200k-ish seller to me for a few weeks now, I just hadn't noticed this thread before.
July 14, 201312 yr I be surprise if it the track doesn't break 200k, that lead is just going to increase.
July 14, 201312 yr Based on the iTunes #100 doing roughly 2.5K per week it 's currently on course for around 320K, and the pop bar is likely to increase tomorrow. Incredible.
July 15, 201312 yr Author Based on the iTunes #100 doing roughly 2.5K per week it 's currently on course for around 320K, and the pop bar is likely to increase tomorrow. Incredible. 2.5k is rather too optimistic - maybe 2k... Average prediction up to 163k - possibly higher, because I can't tell how much above 200k people think it might go... July 15, 201312 yr I predicted 200k last week however I think we are easily looking at it being 250k+ - I've heard it being played and talked about everywhere.
July 15, 201312 yr 225k On the basis of Daft Punk 155k +35 = Robin Thicke 190k +35 = Avicii 225k. :heehee: You could be right though. :o Kworb update at the moment: 1. Avicii - Wake Me Up 1.0000 2. Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell) 0.2312 (with other versions probably bumping this figure to something like 0.2412) 'Blurred Lines' sold around 82k last week so say Robin Thicke is looking set to sell 70k this week, Avicii is selling x4 what Robin is. 70k x 4 = 280k, but unless Avicii manages to maintain a massive lead all week 'Wake Me Up' might be looking at a potential 250k first week sale. :o Edit; what ___∆___ posted above. :D
July 15, 201312 yr Blurred Lines sold 87k two weeks ago and 82k this week so I think 75k is a safe bet for Robin's sales this week. My calculations, assuming that, tell me that Avicii should sell 311,203. However, Avicii won't keep up this lead the whole week and Robin will probably fall short of 75k - so he may not quite reach 300k, but 250k+ is looking certain. If he could beat the opening sales of Fight For This Love that would be amazing.

With OneD chasing for a #1, but I can't see them selling more than 150k. I think Avicii will be safe for 3 to 5 weeks at #1, if sales continue on that level.

Even if it suffered a 50% decrease next week, it's still looking at at least 125k (thinking ahead here guys!!! ) which could still be enough to prevent 1D from getting to #1. I'd like to be surprised because ID followed by Tinie Tempah seemed likely to be the next two UK #1 hits, but 'Wake Me Up' holding off the competition would be as brilliant as when 'We Found Love' prevented all the boyband blah stuff from going to no. 1 in late 2011. :D

July 15, 201312 yr It's looking more like Miley Cyrus will be the next #1 after Avicii, rather than Tinie Tempah. :( Oh well, like Nelly Furtado once sang "all good things come to an end".
