The Wanted have announced their new single We Own The Night

I assume this is the third single, after I Found You and Walks Like Rihanna

A video will be shot next week and a preview will be available on their E! show finale which airs the 14th of july in the US

Manager Scooter Braun told E! that the song is an "anthem" for anyone who wants to party.

He explained: "We just scheduled the music video to be shot next week.

"The new single is an anthem for every single house party, bar or great house party anyone has ever been to in their entire lives."

Is 'Chasing The Sun' not going to be in the new album?

Anyway, I hope this is good!

Wikipedia had it as a track from their EP

I hope this is a step up from Walks Like Rihanna, I did actually quite like I Found You and Chasing The Sun.
I expected walks like rihanna to do a lot better than I found you but its not hung around long in the top10 but had decent first week sales. I think this single could be make or break time for them.

It's still hanging around top 20 though - they can score a top 5 hit with buggar all effort these days, I think they are far from over tbh....

A clip of this premièred on their show last night:

It sounds incredibly pedestrian. It's gonna do absolute f*** all...

I think it sounds like a big improvement on the last one. Very catchy melody, just a shame about those awful awful lyrics.

It's incredibly sad that a group like The Wanted are still around years after they released their last decent single. They're horrendous.
The clip isn't bad. But that's the problem with The Wanted. Most of their songs are 'not bad'. They haven't released a standout single since Chasing the Sun.
First play of this is on 5th August. Available to download 'worldwide' from 11th August but I assume the UK will get it shortly before 16th September when the album is out.
We own the night is a much better name than third strike. While the album will most likely do ok for them i would suspect they will manage a bare platinum status at the best for it, and will struggle to get to 300,000.
^ 'We Own The Night' is the single title, not the album title! ^_^ Album is called 'Word of Mouth'.

I used to like the Wanted but after WLR they are going to have to pull something great out of the bag and I fear this may not be it, I think they suit the electro pop sound of their first single and GYC

After I was unfortunate enough to catch a 10 minute glance at their reality show...

Pretty epic cover art...

Should pretty much limp overseas but I can see it hitting the charts hard over here.
