Australian popstar Elen Levon has today released the official music video for her brand new single 'Wild Child'. As Ministry of Sound Australia state in the YouTube video description, this "infectious anthem doesn't rely on the heavy production heard in her earlier dance-heavy tracks, but embraces a new direction of catchy pop"! The song will be released onto iTunes in Australia on Friday 19th July, and will probably also be on UK iTunes as a couple of her previous releases are.

 

Elen's previous singles 'Like A Girl In Love' and 'Dancing To The Same Song' were both fantastic, and those of you familiar with them may find this track very different. I think it is a fantastic pop song and a refreshing change from her earlier dance tracks! Elen is also releasing an EP later this year which I assume will include this new song.

This is leagues better than 'Dancing To The Same Song' which I found a bit same-y and pedestrian after the heavenly 'Like A Girl In Love'.

 

I'm a huge fan of Elen and am so glad that DTTSS appears to just be a blip in her discography.

This has charted at #48 in Australia making it her highest-peaking single so far! :cheer:

And, honestly, Wild Child is the best of the three songs of hers I've heard, but then she's not really my type of music anyway.

I think we should remember who found the flop first!

We do already have a topic for this over in the pop forum, brilliant song! :wub: I listened to 'Over My Head' a couple of weeks ago too and it is another fantastic song from Elen! I can't wait for an EP or album from her!
