There are 41 songs in total, 6 studio albums and a whole heap of crotch grabbing to get through so sit back and enjoy. Oh and feel free to comment as you like and predict the order as it unfolds. A huge thank you to everyone that has taken part already in the voting stage and fingers crossed your favourites do as well as you'd hope! Hee hee.
July 15, 201312 yr Billie Jean for the win. I really wish that I'd changed it to a 10 or an 11 earlier. :( Other than that, Man In The Mirror for the win! I actually can't decide.
July 15, 201312 yr Author Pretending i haven't seen the results for a second, but i'm fully backing Give in to Me to do very well. I admit it's not as recognisable as his classics, but it's become my personal favourite over time (probably helped by the fact i haven't played it ad infinitum like some of his more signature hits). The amount of passion oozing throughout that song in particular is unrivaled imo.
July 15, 201312 yr Here for Smooth Criminal or Beat It winning. (apols I never did complete the thing Bal! should've known my week would be crayyyy)

First up is the lead single from Michael Jackson's biggest album Thriller, where he teamed up with Paul McCartney in . Even with the two huge names involved, it doesn't stop the song being a dull cheese fest, especially when compared to what else was to come from the album. It seemed to be universally hated by the voters here (except the minority outlined above) and it hits a hard rock bottom comfortably with that awful average score. Not quite taking flight and up next is , the weakest single to come out of Jackson's final album Invincible. The album gets its fair amount of disdain, and unfortunately this single did little to prove what wonders it actually contains. It came as the final single from the album around the same time that yet another large tirade in Jackson's personal life was brewing and without a music video it failed to impact the global charts too much, despite performing decently in the US. Rounding off this dud trio is Michael's cover of , a simple, underlooked ballad that seemed to garner a whole lot more respect and meaning following Jackson's own departure. Dedicated to the memory of one of Jackson's friends who died from HIV/AIDS, it remains just as touching now, but ultimately proves to be one of the few low points off an otherwise consistently strong album and is perhaps a little too melancholic to be fully rewarded here.
July 16, 201312 yr The Girl Is Mine is such a bore, glad it finished last. Haven't heard the other 2.

Kelly(!). Perhaps people were tiring of Jackson's preachy, sombre numbers, but it does remain one of his best ballads complete with all the emotional angst that we came to expect from him and with a music video that perfectly encapsulates the meaning of the song with added cheddar. Very slightly gutted at the amount of hate it received here as the second of the three singles from Invincible proves to be anything but that. Oh ooops. From one of the latest entries in Jackson's discography to one of his earliest, as remains friendless at the low end of the chart. The song became the first (of many) number one singles for Michael on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains one of the very early vintage tracks from him both as a solo artist and as a band with his brothers. Sweet, serene and most of all innocent. Rounding of this selection is album opener which slam dunks at #36. The song kicks starts Dangerous with almighty funk but fails to capture the attention of the voters here as it quite surprisingly amasses a whole heap of negative scores and not even a final shot from Dandy*.* can save it. The most memorable aspect of the song is definitely the music video which sees Michael working it alongside Michael Jordon while at the same time learning some court moves in the process. Double win.
