I could see them doing Surprise Surprise actually. They performed with someone (and a solo performance) in 2011 and I'm sure they were on in 2009 as well. The Wanted got a boost from the 50's to #16 on iTunes with a slot there.

It was actually 'Tonights the Night' they done all that on.

They were on Surprise Surprise and went shopping with a fan and her sister I think.

Alan Carr averages between 1.5-2.5 million so if we could get a 3m rating that would be great!

An ideal promo schedule would be:

Sat 21st Sep - Stepping Out

Fri 4th Oct - Alan Carr: Chatty Man

Sun 6th Oct - Strictly Come Dancing: The Results

Mon 7th Oct - This Morning

Tue/Wed 8/9th Oct - Radio Visits (Kiss Fm, Radio 1, Capital etc)

Fri 11th Oct - Daybreak

Sat 12th Oct - Surprise Surprise

Sun 13th Oct - BBC Radio 1 Interview (During Top 40 show).

1. YES!

2. Hmmm they wont get SCD after being on Stepping Out I doubt!

3. Hmmm I only want them on R1 that night if they are defo top five, otherwise itll be a bit awk

What we really need now is for the Stepping Out performance to get pre-orders on the go, if it can go top 200 (or 100!!!) then they should hold it through for two weeks as it will be on peoples phones etc. when they look thru the top 100 and are more likley to get casual sales which will help loads in release week!

Ah yes. Is that show still on?

I am not sure haha I know they promoted UP and AFU on it

Has anyone mentionned that they are #22 (LW : #41) on TV airplay? Excting times! Hopefully, it will keep climbing and snatch a place in the top 5 TV airplay.

YESSSS at R1 :w00t:

I'm thinking it could have been planned by management because Kiss starting playing straight away regularly, Capital Fm filtered in now it's been added to R1 so fingers crossed they start playing it - Still only played it ONCE. ;)

Can Record labels request songs to be played after a certain date? Seems strange how the major stations filtered in one at a time?!?

maybe as Hurricane said before they want to do it so that airplay carrys on to sell the album!

... Guys...

The song isn't even playlisted yet. :o

It will be on Monday 23th. So yeah we don't have to worry anymore about Radio 1 snubbing them, but technically, they aren't playlisted at the moment. (They will be, though)

I knew they wouldn't get snubbed. This song is going to be a late bloomer. It's doing great on TV airplay and will pick up on airplay, and I'm sure promo will be good enough to get it Top 5. I'm excited :yahoo:

That has been always the case though, even when they updated the website on Wednesdays.

That's not it, though, at least I don't think so. If you go on their website, the song is not playlisted yet (the Monday 16th September playlist)

From what I understood, they used to update their playlist on Monday and they would start to play the songs right away, but only make it official on Wednesday by updating their website that day with the playlist.

From what I understand now, this is going to get playlisted this Monday, but if they hadn't change the way they do things, the playlist would have been avalaible only on Wednesday 25th on their website.

That's incorrect, the playlist has always come out the Wednesday before the Monday it comes into action.
