I don't think they'll fall below 10k. Might be wrong, but when it happened last year it was the lowest sale of the year by some margin (next lowest was 14k) and it was due to a combination of factors such as the Olympics, it being the middle of summer, and absolutely nothing big out that week. I think it's unlikely to happen again this year, but we could be seeing it a lot more over the next few years. :(
I went for 12k. With next to nothing remotely interesting out during August it could dip further. Maybe one of the Reading/Leeds headliners could do well like Glastonbury did for Mumford and Sons, or a TV appearance for a major artist could keep sales floating a little higher but other than that prepare for the worst! Maybe 22 could finally get a price reduction :kink:

I assume you meant Adele's '21' there? :)

With album sales so crap, Jahmene Butcher is going to be #1 with his album 'Nicole Says I'm Jah-Mazing So She Must Be Right'.

His cover of 'Titanium' is woeful and removes everything that makes the David Guetta original so brilliant. Hurry up James Arthur, we need to sort out this mess. :D

Jahmene should've released back in March if he wanted a covers album to do well. Hoping it backfires, thrilled he didn't win.

Summer is usually when bands and dance artists make use of low sales and get high peaks, but there seems to be a lack of those around too. Excited (ever so slightly) to see what returns to #1 in the coming weeks. Festival headliners include Green Day, Biffy Clyro, Eminem, Example, Elton John, Fatboy Slim and Snoop Dogg; though I don't really see any of them doing well enough to reach the summit.

Predicting under 20k, 13k.

I'm hoping they fall low so the Manics could sneak a number 1 album in Sept. Even though the album will be rubbish.
I've gone for 18/20k, as we have very few big releases until September then I think we'll be looking at sales no lower than 40/50k between then and Christmas
I predict sales at number 1 between 10 and 12 k average for the August period... no interesting new releases and current top 10 albums are already worn out so.can't see any of them generating big sales again, unless Emeli Sande promotes the 28th single from her Our Version of Events album during Kate Middleton's labour...
