I'm so ready for this even if no one else on here is!

First play on Scott Mills' Radio 1 show tomorrow afternoon at 3:40pm. Video will premiere on his VEVO as well!

Loving the full version, that chorus! Pre-ordered the single already!

So disappointing.

Sounds like a Bruno Mars reject.

This is like a more likeable version of Dedication To My Ex

He also confirmed today that his album is called 'Show Stopper' and will be out in October with another single before that :)
That video is such a cringe, the dancing made me uncomfortable

The video looks a tad on the cheap side - although I can imagine his management were a bit weary of whether or not he would be a success.

Songwise I think its good and certainly different from alot of things at the moment - yes Bruno Mars/ New Mark Ronson sounding. But so what? It's a good, fun song

Well said re: your last comment. I agree it's so bloody lazy and annoying when people compare it like Bruno Mars is the only one that invented that sound as it were. So not Prince or Michael Jackson then, no? At the end of day showing your influences is the best form of expression in itself. <_<

I guess the same people would have been moaning if he'd come out with something like a JLS record first off the block as well. I love the energy of it and it's pure Aston, his vocals are on point here as well, and the moves. I remember going to see JLS on tour several times back in the day and he was undoubtedly the best dancer out of the lot of them - he has a showman quality about him and apart from Olly Murs, who really is doing that sort of thing in pop atm? Not many people, there's a gap for it and he could easily be as big as Olly's been recently.

Exactly - it's not like forum favourites like The Saturdays, Pixie Lott or any of the 100 female acts that are fawned over are really that original or aren't copying or showing the acts influencing them.

At the end of day showing your influences is the best form of expression in itself. <_<

Having read this sentence a few times I'm really not sure it actually means anything? Surely the best form of expression is joy or originality, not mimickry. Maybe you meant the highest form of flattery.

Like I said, it's a good song and a lot better than I expected but it just feels like it's copying Michael Jackson (it reminds me a lot of 'Shake Your Body Down (To the Ground)' and James Brown. Of course there's no way that every song can be totally original. However, this does feel more of a copy rather than an influence, especially with all the complete over-dancing in the video.
I actually quite like this a lot more than I was expecting to like it . I can see it doing quite well especially on Capital seeing as Marvin is DJ presenter on Capital now.
