'Take A Chance On Me' was actually the first JLS single I actually liked so it was a shame that it was their first pre-album release single to miss the top spot. But then I think that was when 'We Found Love' single-handedly kept all of the boybands away from the top spot. I may be wrong but I can't see One Direction making it to the end of the decade before disbanding.

There will come a point when they outgrow the band and want to go down solo paths. I think when the boyband trend dies down (it seems to go through phases of being popular and unpopular) that's when JLS could return as a "manband". Take That (I might as well continue using them as the prime example) returned when the likes of McFly were on their way out as a chart-topping act.

Spot on with all of the above :) And God I remember that winter when 'We Found Love' just wouldn't go away. I was so mad when it initially kept Olly off the top with 'Dance with Me Tonight'. Little did I know, etc :D McFly didn't split up though, they just stopped racing up to #1 with everything they released. They're a rare beast really because between that and McBusted they've been around 12 years or so now.

I think from my standpoint I never felt like I was embarrassed to say I was a fan of JLS. They always appealed to me more - and still do - than 1D or The Wanted because I felt like they were much more of an old fashioned boyband, dance routines, songs and all, especially the ones I grew up being a fan of. I was at uni for the large majority of their album campaigns and I associate their albums with that time and doing the routines move perfect (even whilst tipsy) at our student's union! They were always a joy to go watch live as well, a full on show.

I really can't see JLS being in favour again if they were to come back around, the simple difference between them and Take That is that they went out on a high and by the time JLS had disbanded they were pretty much finished successwise.

Ahh you see I was team Rihanna all the way. At that point I was so sick of the boyband hype as well as absolutely adoring WFL.

In my opinion, JLS were far more authentic than 1D - which isn't hard to believe considering 1D were manufactured on XF while JLS weren't. But 1D had the better material with the likes of 'Story Of My Life' and 'Night Changes'. They progressed with their sound and moved away from the typical teen-pop that is expected of boybands. Whereas, with JLS, it seemed like they were too caught up in sticking to the boyband formula which is a shame since their talent and strength as a group deserved better than the material they had.

To be fair though, I don't think JLS have had a MOMENT since that song with Dev. Take a Chance on Me was cute but never said HIT SINGLE... like Beat Again.

So this is quite huge...Aston performed 'Get Stupid' on 'The Late Late Show' with James Corden in US last night - his first TV performance there since the JLS days. Excellent!

Will be interesting to see if Warners are going to push him more internationally before the album's released next year. He's back doing more Aussie promo next week including their X Factor live shows.

He absolutely slays in that James Cordon performance! Go Aston!
Performing this? It's been and gone in Aus. I'm still shuddering from Mahalia's performance of it the other week....

I think it will be his new song.

He is performing his next single 'Show Me' on X Factor Australia. A sort of demi-2008 series reunion given Dannii is still a judge on there I believe? Still haven't heard it yet even though radio down there has premiered it already!
