Can't Take Me Home might not really be the "real" Pink but it is far from her worst album.

And what, pray tell, is "real" P!nk?

It is her worst album because all her other albums are better.

I think its often labelled as her 'worst' album and/or not very 'P!nk' because its very r&b styled, whereas her albums after that were pop/rock, and she was very controlled back then, she didnt have a lot of say in what was going on, when Missundaztood came along, she did what she wanted

I think I'll close this now, doubt we'll get more with the Rate taking priority in the Lounge.
It clearly isn't totally what she wanted, but I think a lot of themes from it carried over (I mean, she basically has a There You Go-eff you type of jam on every album) and as an R&B fan it's just the most appealing one for me.

I'm not an r&b fan but i still love the album (the fact that its Pink's may be one of the reasons though  )

But at the time when it was released I was big into TLC, so when I heard Pink's music and got into that too... so I guess I got TLC to thank for getting me into Pink? maybe...

The R&b phase didnt last long though, I even had a period where I liked dance music when I was trying to fit in with friends. by the time i was about 13 i thought fu.ck it, i'm going to like what I actually like, and not follow the crowd! :P
