PFA awards are on Sunday

Nominees:

POTY: Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Hazard, Toure, Lallana

YPOTY: Sterling, Sturridge, Barkley, Hazard, Shaw, Ramsey

Who would you go all go with?

Suarez is the obvious winner for POTY and Hazard for YPOTY. Although, I think YPOTY should be changed to an U21 award. Seems silly to have Sturridge and Hazard nominated for both awards

My team of the year would be: Marshall Coleman Terry Cahill Shaw Gerrard Toure Lallana Hazard Sturridge Suarez

I'd put Barkley in instead of Gerrard but otherwise yeah.

As I say every year, the Young Player shortlist is awful, how some of these can still be considered young is ridiculous. 21 should definitely be the limit.

Team of the year with no more than one player per team?

Marshall

Coleman

Davies

Koscielny

Ward

Toure

Noble

Lallana

Rooney

Hazard

Suarez

I'd have Mertesacker over Koscielny for the way he's played in recent weeks when the team has really needed him.

Suarez for POTY and Shaw for YPOTY. I have been impressed with what I have seen this season from him.

What a chance Liverpool has missed there. Well done Chelsea.

Liverpool can only hope that Palace get a result against Man City.

Blows the title race back wide open. Don't think Chelsea will win it, but it's how City respond to it being back in their hands now.

Liverpool showed their naivety and inexperience today, and had nothing to break down the bus. I think that highlights a weakness in the squad, we just didn't have enough quality down the flanks because all the space in the middle was taken. Ah well, it's not over yet..

City currently 2-0 up against Palace. The trophy is back in their hands.

Mourinho makes this look easy.

City played like a team not about to bottle it, but the Everton game will be tough. Why do I think West Ham will gift Liverpool the title by getting something at the Etihad?

Chelsea's record against the top 7 this season, it's incredible that they could easily finish 3rd when they've performed so well and consistently in the big games. Their only loss in that was at Everton early on too, so it's not like it even was a 'big' game. Weirdly, the game against Man Utd at Old Trafford has kind of cost them the title. There's no way Mourinho would've played like he did if it were even three or four games later and he realised how bad United actually were.

His teams are well drilled, I'll give him that, but my days the game today was absolutely dire. Honestly for the players they have available, why they play such mind numbling boring football is beyond me!

Palace looked like they were already on holiday. I expect the West Ham game will be similar. The saving grace for Liverpool is Man City's record on Merseyside (and Everton will be up for that game, massively) and that Villa might need to get a result at the Etihad to stay up. I think realistically we'll both win our remaining games, but it's been such a crazy season that anything could happen.

He just came for the point at Old Trafford - the same that he did today, he just got lucky that we made a mistake which was part of their game-plan. Otherwise the game today was 0-0 all over.

Indeed. The Sunderland - Cardiff game was better viewing than Liverpool - Chelsea. Chelsea under Mourinho have a simple strategy when playing difficult opponents. It is often effective - the Champions League games against Atletico Madrid is another example - but it is terrible to watch.

Honestly he is just a glorified Tony Pulis or Sam Allardyce. It's all the same - get men behind the ball, stop the space and defend. It's effective, but it's boring. For a manager with so much money at his disposal it's a wonder he doesn't expand his style more,as especially with the players he has available. Sure he'll point to his record, but under that style as soon as you don't win things the fans turn very quickly.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. Allardyce's teams are always dreadful to watch. At least Mourinho's teams can sometimes be worth watching, if only because he has always managed at clubs with lots of money to spend. That means they can turn on the style against the likes of Cardiff.

I rate Tony Pulis incredibly high - although Crystal Palace are not the most exciting team to watch it's incredible what he's managed to do there.

Gutted. If Chelsea just defeated Sunderland then the season would be wide open :(

Who said you can't enjoy defensive football?

It's great if it's your team and you're winning, otherwise it's awful.
