August 10, 201312 yr As fond as I am of TNG, Voyager has grown and grown in my Trek affections over the last few years. As great as Picard is, Janeway has her charms.
August 10, 201312 yr It runs it close but it lacks the depth. It's 'fall of communism' allegory is much heavier handed than Khan's Captain Ahab/Kirk's 'over the hill' themes. This is true, but for me what it lacks in depth and subtly it makes up for in an equally as compelling story and I think the fact it's a send off for that generation is also quite special too and just tips it over the edge for me. It's a damn sight better than the TNG crew got a decade later anyway.
August 10, 201312 yr City On The Edge Of Forever, greatest TV episode of the 60's. Yesterday's Enterprise. Hard to pick a DS9, there are so many as good as Yesterday's Enterprise. The reboot Star Trek movie is awesome too...
August 10, 201312 yr My favourite movie with the original cast has to be the same as Johnkm, The Undiscovered Country. Best TNG movie has to be First Contact, rest of the TNG movies were pretty average, I didn't even like Generations as the hand over from the Original cast. And of the rebooted Star Trek series, has to be Into Darkness, I think the whole cast blended better, and it had the better script. The first movie was more of an introduction, that's how I felt about it.

I preferred Spectre of the Gun and as said before - Space Seed. I also liked the episode with the Gary Seven character in it.

Apart from the first and fifth films of the film series (starring the original cast) I liked them all. I hated Generations too - the whole thing with Data discovering his emotions was just too embarrassing to watch. Shame as I was really looking forward to that film. First Contact WAS good.

I love Space Seed, Patterns Of Force (I think, the one they dressed up as Nazi's), City On The Edge, Mirror Mirror, and the one where they are acting mafia like, with those heaters

I was in the audience for a movie quiz TV show pilot that she was on shortly after her stroke, with Burt Reynolds. I'm a fan....

Really funny episode - especially the bit where Kirk & Spock get into the car and Kirk is wondering why, when he's turned the key - the car doesn't move and Spock says something like 'I believe there was something called a 'clutch''. Love that episode. And Uhura is exceptionally hot as a badass!
August 11, 201311 yr I definitely prefer new Spock :D Me too! Old Spock appears to have taken on the appearance of an old leather saddlebag!
August 11, 201311 yr Old Spock >>>>>>>>>>>>>> NuSpock and NuSpock is the only one in the revamp remotely worthy of the character.

November 22, 201311 yr Anybody care for a new series with a new captain? A new fan funded pilot is being pitched to the studio bosses. xhZPbX2x3Ug Been following this with some scepticism but the trailer looks good and the cast looks solid. Set 10 years after Voyager ended and the Federation is running out of Dilithium or something.
