Posted August 29, 201311 yr So the original plan for the Celebration era was due to be called HITS. Here's the original packaging with way more pics on the link below: http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt283/musite/Nieuws%202013/Madonna_01.jpg http://www.adamncompany.com/projects/madon...h.fB25EE9p.dpuf
August 29, 201311 yr Not liking the cover, looks far too photo-shopped, but the packaging is very nice. Would it have been the same tracking list as Celebration?
August 29, 201311 yr Author There was never a set list out for hits. Hits is a crap title to be honest, I'm not sure Celebration is a lot better to be honest. Hits has amazing artwork way better than Celebration all the eras in that packaging would be a joy to own.
August 31, 201311 yr I don't mind the title "Celebration". Sure there's plenty of better, more inventive ones to choose but at least it's not just "Greatest Hits" or "The Best of Madonna". I loved the artwork for the Celebration booklet - especially the Madonna face made from broken vinyl - and all the ones which didn't make it, but the packaging to Hits is much more creative. The tracking list to Celebration is also very good, although I think it would have been nice to have released a third version of it where there was three discs. That way, songs like 'Deeper and Deeper', 'True Blue', 'This Used to Be My Playground', 'Rain', 'You'll See', 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' and 'Give It 2 Me' could have been included. In fact, I think another disc of 18 tracks would have covered the vast majority of Madonna's discography (perhaps leaving out songs which were released in selected countries).
