Disappointing start for Chelsea and Celtic, good start for the other teams I see.

Tonight sees Swansea, Tottenham and Wigan all in action.

Chelsea suffering from extremely high expectations and thinking Mourinho is the Messiah. Reckon the Honeymoon period could be over if they suffer another bad result at the weekend, although I'd be surprised if they did. Their problem is their strike force. Not getting Rooney has really hurt them, Eto'o is just not good enough anymore to be that top striker they need.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that City could win 3-1 at the Nou Camp but you have to assume that Barcelona will go through after last night. Didn't look that threatening while City were sitting deep with 11 men and Silva and Nasri looked dangerous together at 1-0, you have to question Pellegrini's use of Demichelis ahead of Lescott although he actually had a really good first half. Expecting Milner, Nastasic and Aguero to start the second leg and Nasri and Jovetic to maybe be used as well.

Could be worse, could be Bayer Leverkusen.

Atletico will be very difficult to beat at home. You'd assume that the four who won this week will all progress.

Final 8:

Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund

Barcelona

Real Madrid

Atletico Madrid

PSG

Chelsea

Man United

I'm hoping Manchester United win the Champions League - it would arguably be one of the funniest things in my memory of Football - especially if Liverpool finish 4th.

The likelihood of that happening is second to none. Think Liverpool will finish above Arsenal, and Manchester United are by far the worst team left in the competition. People compare it to Liverpool in 2005, but it's completely different. Liverpool had an average squad and master tactician. Man Utd have an average squad and a manager with no clue.

Chelsea in 2012 would be more apt, and they went into their quarter final as favourites which United won't.

QF first leg ties:

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

PSG v Chelsea

Manchester United v Bayern Munich

Bayern big favourites and you'd back Real to beat Dortmund over two legs, but the other two are up in the air.

Chelsea have a massive advantage of playing PSG through in Paris in the first leg - had Chelsea been home in the first leg,I would fancy PSG qualifying.

Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea for me

PSG are a good side, but Mourinho will find a way

I'm thinking the same. If that were the final four I think he'd actually want Barcelona as well.
