I was going to say, new videos premiere on music TV on a friday unless its a big name act who have paid for a specific slot

I was not keen on the song so far, and this AWFUL video is not going to help.

A new low for my Alexandra  My anticipations were so high for her comeback but this is horrendous. HOW could she come back with that ?

It looks very low budget.

I like her different outfits though, good dancing as well :)

Not a fan of the video at all. It's very poorly edited together and the premise has been done a thousand times.

Is it me or is there virtually no hype or interest about this release at all? I was initially quite intrigued and the song sounded really promising from the first live performance. I was so disappointed with the studio version though because it's just completely flat in comparison. The autotune is awful and it sounds like a few songs put together because the verses, chorus and instrumental parts don't transition well at all. The song is just a bit of a mess as a whole and I can see why radio is showing it no interest so far.

TBH, she was never a Radio 1 fave. Her entire success story (good or bad songs) has been based on media and X Factor hype. But's over 3 yrs since she won, and without releasing an album every minute like JLS, public interest has waned. Sadly, she won't have radio to 'remind' people about her... she'll have to do the hard work (promo) herself.

Marketing strategies between her and Leona have been SO different! I'm surprised Burke's album dind't even get a US release after the initial hhype, and getting the likes of Pitbull, Flo Rida and Ne Yo to contribute.

I am really worried for Alexandra Burke tbh, I can't see her going top 3 with this and I can see it being beyond frontloaded, of course she should still go top 10 but I doubt radio will support this that much and I believe it will struggle to outsell Leona Lewis - Collide.
Having heard the song (not seen the vid yet, that link was removed), I do like Elephant. BUT, without radio promo, it won't go anywhere as it's as generic as they come.

Alexandra's brother David tweeted last night:

#elephant radio tour dates TBC later this month, single artwork and available to pre-order on I-tunes, from Monday, VEVO premiere woop!!

Labrinth who is releasing the same week as Alex has had 110 spins so far and his song will premier earlier this week

Commercial radio has always supported Alex, I see no reason why they would not play Elephant. With 5 weeks to go and a radio tour coming up, I will put money on the fact that she is heading for her 4th No 1. The Labrinth song is dull and Elephant is approaching 100 plays.

Bit early to write off commercial airplay for Alex isn't it?

The song isn't her best & the video is hardly original but I still see it charting well.

Hmmm, I'm quite a big Alexandra fan but I didn't realise how easy she would be able to make herself look cheaper than the video.

I'm not saying I want her in full length ball gowns, but you can be sexy and conservative at the same time, like in Bad Boys for instance. The track is pretty good, but the structure of the song, even parts of the video, particularly the dance breakdown reminds me of We Found Love... Hope it does well for her, I'm keen to hear the album.

I hope her stint on x factor hasnt done her too much damage.. everyone i speak to about her is fairly much saying the same thing that shes arrogant or a knob and defo annoying! but i do like her music!!

Video been up on VEVO for over 5 hours and only has 37 likes? This really isn't going well is it.

Pre-order is up on iTunes now, and this is the single cover it has at the moment:

I really hope that isn't the official single cover.
