I absolutely adore American Dad. Dads being slated everywhere isn't giving me much hope of it being any good, I will give it a miss.

Last week seemed to get a good reception so I'll keep this going! Got last nights 3 pilots and Sleepy Hollow 102 downloading to start after Bake-Off! ^_^

Mom

Monday, 9:30pm - CBS

I actually quite enjoyed this. The leads were very strong and there was plenty of laughs to be had. It's very 2 Broke Girls in it's style of humour so not one for the 'Smart' comedy aficionados.

8/10

Positives: Superbly cast for the leads and the chef is rather amusing.

Negatives: The Daughter is awful, a shitty actress and must be either re-cast or killed off ASAP.

The Blacklist

Mondays, 10pm - NBC

I found this to be highly enjoyable! The pilot was quite Alias in feel at some parts and there is certainly more of a CIA/Spy type show than a standard police procedural involving a Federal Agency. There was a couple of POI-esque scenes as well thrown in there. Good plot, the baddie of the week was more of a plot device to set the show up but that's some what expected in a pilot, enjoyable leads and a few seeds sown for a season long arc. Should actually be a good hit for NBC, and lord knows they need one.

9/10

Negatives: Like most drama pilots can be a bit plodding during the character introducing.

Positives: Great arc developing, it's got a good feeling about it for a Crime show.

I was going to watch Mom because my TV playlist is literally all crime/horror/sci-fi/dark/depressing, but Anna Faris is in it so that's not happening.

I might give The Blacklist a shot when I get access to broadband some time tomorrow. Ta for the info/verdict, Phil!

I quite liked The Blacklist. Solid premiere but it all felt a bit MUCH. James Spader brings a nice level of gravitas to the role which could easily have tipped over into hammy with a lesser actor.

Thanks for all this Phil, will keep checking back until i find something that really catches my eye.

Dads

stars Vice-Principle Kraft from Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Oooh, do i brave it just for this bit of nostalgia...!? Probably not.

It's got Allison Janney in it and she's amazeballs.

No worries!

Indeed he does, he plays the role superbly.

I'll cover them all at some point as they premiere so hopefully something will catch your eye.

Don't brave it, it will ruin your memories of VP Kraft. RUIN.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.

If you enjoyed the Avengers, download this now. If you've enjoyed any of the Marvel movies, download this now. If you like watching TV, download this now. If you don't like TV/fun/entertainment, DOWNLOAD THIS NOW.

Not going to spoil plot points or anything or give anything away that could potentially ruin it for anyone waiting until Friday to watch it at 8pm on Channel 4 but I will say this: I laughed numerous times, it's Joss Whedon at his finest, I actually cried with Agent Coulson appeared on screen for the first time and it's f***ing brilliant. Two former British Soap stars appear. A lass from Hollyoaks and the original (2001-2003) Adam Barlow from Corrie.

10/10

Positives: Doesn't suffer at all from losing the main Marvel characters, witty, Joss Whedon wrote and directed it for fuck sake, well cast, just amazing.

Negatives: FLAWFREE

HA! I wouldn't call it flaw free but it was a very good first episode. LOVE Ming Na Wen in basically anything/everything and she was pretty kick ass in this so yay.
Oh and perhaps the most important thing to note: It is the first ABC show where the CGI looks like it wasn't done in 1993 so YAY.

Trophy Wives

It was quite funny and I really like the premise. I think there is a lot of potential for it to grow into a really good show. Some superb actors and actresses have been cast in this, like really superb, like Marcia Gay Harden superb.

6.5/10

Positives: Last scene was the funniest scene of all the comedy pilots so far, very quick starter for a pilot.

Negatives: Little messy in places.

Back In The Game

This is reasonably funny but the pilot is a bit dodgy in that it's up and down and a little disjointed in places. Lulu is shit the bed amazing. Could have some potential.

5.5/10

Positives: Lulu is seriously AMAZING

Negative: Pilot has some serious flaws

Will you be watching The Crazy Ones Silas? I'd be interested to see your take on it. I loved it, especially Kelly being a bitch. James Wolk and Robin Williams together is TV/comedy GOLD too.

I plan on watching everything! Aim is two shows a day, with the exception of today because of my work night out.
