This month was seriously insanely high quality and we can only say a huge commiseration to Ben's Sanctuary who received a rating of 9.5/10 but still somehow missed out on points. B.a.N.G, Sandebörg, Hendinia and Bellamia in that order also got a 9/10 but nada and that's not even going into all our 9/10 rated songs from the semi-final that didn't make it (POOR BRAVE TERRA AVIUM). But anyway here's the best of the best of a batch of fantastic songs plus Oscar Zia. FIVE 10/10s. 1 Fljótavík // VAULTS - Cry No More 2 Skall // Clams Casino - I'm God 3 Trifoski // Jamie Lidell - What A Shame (RL Grime and Salva Remix) 4 Aeroche // Jon Hopkins feat. Purity Ring - Breathe This Air 5 Ramrynia // Alida - Some Of Us 6 Séyetana // Cardiknox - Hold Me Down 7 N DNTN // Glasser - Shape BYRTA's 'Andvekur' was previously a strong contender for a Persephonian entry as you may already know but that's slightly worked against it because in an incredibly close race for the ten points we had to reward a discovery over a song we've known and loved for months. Nonetheless, 8 go to ELËDAN. Newcomers EUPHORIFFITH then take our 10 points with possibly the strongest debut entry we've ever heard, a comment I make without doing any research at all. Plezier's incredibly ~funky~ 'Plezier Anthem' won the plurality of the formidable Persephonian dance music vote. A truly great dance instrumental is quite rare to come by in BJSC but Plezier is just that and we definitely look forward to what else Euphoriffith have to offer the contest in the future. Really though there was never even the slightest bit of competition for our 12, do I even need to say what it is at this stage? Well done ESPEN with the fantastic 'Ghost Gunfighters' by As Animals. Should have been sent months back but we're still ~enchanted~ by it. Espen now join PRoJ as only the second country since the start of 2012 to receive 12 points from us more than once following their previous top score with TOYS' 'Noise'.
