If Jason Derulo can get a Top Ten album selling 12,000 copies in its opening week, The Sats should be able to do it as well, but compared to John Newman and Cher they're doing awfully on Pre-Orders.

CLOSER TO THE TRUTH

Standard - #162

Deluxe - #33

TRIBUTE

Standard - #110

Deluxe - #70

LIVING FOR THE WEEKEND

Standard - #514

Deluxe - #184

It doesn't matter if it's done badly on itunes AT ALL. It barely affects The actual chart. Ellie Gouldings album sat #203 atm and it's still top 40 on the album chart. LFTW has done amazingly on pre orders. It's been top 30 on amazon for a few weeks now and album sales on amazon are better because they are physical sales

It's jumped cause of the xfactor performance. Was #103 - #118 most of the week

They seem to have stabilized on iTunes now. Only 1% behind Jason Derulo but Conor is way ahead of them combined making them #10 officially.

Do you have a link for that? So I can keep an eye on it.

My worry is that people will cherry pick the album version and cause the top version to drop out of the top ten.

But it would still be there combined so what's the issue?

Because they then lose the top ten effect? What's the point of having a version at #17 and #71 when you could just have one version safe inside the top ten getting the exposure and the higher sales? Then what happens is that the second version tends to plummet and the first one has gave up it's top ten position.

Most people will buy the physical copy of the album
deluxe album now #158

It's unlikely to lose any sales by having a second version, and normally it actually will increase what sales it would've had without the second version. If the top 10 effect was working, the first version wouldn't drop out anyway. They don't make a LOSS from that...

Not necessarily; other factors would also cause it to drop out like songs behind them increasing. Once the version that was in the top 10 is out it's popularity will decrease dramatically unless it was relatively well exposed through airplay (like Roar).

I'm thinking #6, #7 or #8.

I doubt they will manage to outsell Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and maybe to an extent Miley Cyrus. I think 8th is the most realistic which would be a tad underwhelming.

They're never going to be massive album sellers so I'm not expecting alot of sales or longevity for this. I think a top ten album, maybe about 120K sales and a further hit single (and decent selling tour) would be a success.
