October 4, 201311 yr It has been Top 40 (currently #30) on Irish airplay for well over a week now. What About Us was right around #30 when released and ended up reaching #13 two weeks later. I don't think Gentleman even broke the Top 100. Edited October 4, 201311 yr by LoveKiller
October 4, 201311 yr Author I kept track of the iTunes run for What About Us during its first week and it was #14 twelve hours after release. This is already #18 an hour after release which is a great sign! I don't think you could compare ' What About Us ' to ' Disco Love ' as ' What About Us ' was on an EP, Disco Love was a pre-order in the single chart which means it will start falling a lot sooner in comparison to ' What About Us'.

Conor Maynard went straight into these on iTunes.... October 4, 201311 yr John Newman and Conor Maynard are both more established than the Sats in the rest of Europe so this doesn't surprise me. Newman's coming off of a huge hit while Maynard's had a few mildly successful singles. I'd be happy with them even charting in one country outside of the UK and Ireland. Greece seems like a possibility at this point (random) and maybe the Netherlands but otherwise I don't have very high hopes.
October 4, 201311 yr Nice going so far! Conor Maynard at #21, John Newman at #24 and Eminem at #28. Edited October 4, 201311 yr by Encore
October 4, 201311 yr The EP is not doing well at all there. Despite a great start, the single is taking too long to enter the top10. Edited October 4, 201311 yr by The47thbelmon

Greece seems like a possibility at this point (random) and maybe the Netherlands but otherwise I don't have very high hopes. This is what kinda confuses me about The Saturdays. They've been around since 2008 yet they've only ever charted in the UK and Ireland with their releases, and then with 'What About Us' (their biggest UK hit) they only manage to scrape the top 100 in a few other countries yet the likes of John Newman, Rudimental, Conor Maynard, Disclosure and other artists have just arrived on the scene and yet they're charting all over the world. How? Surely The Saturdays are more marketable as a five piece attractive girl band than those artists? It's annoying because Conor Maynard's album went top 40 in the US without a hit single and I'm sure The Saturdays could do the same (or better) if their management cared. I mean, look at John Newman on Kworb... October 4, 201311 yr Yeah, they really should've pushed What About Us in other countries. It's the same with Higher: they have a great song that they know people love, yet they prefer to wait to what they believe is "the right moment" to do that...which never comes.
October 4, 201311 yr Ireland Popularity Update 1. 1.000 Lorde - Royals 2. 0.983 Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball 3. 0.809 Katy Perry - Roar 4. 0.670 OneRepublic - Counting Stars 5. 0.574 Jason Derulo - Talk Dirty (feat. 2 Chainz) 10. 0.435 Hozier - Take Me To Church 12. 0.409 The Saturdays - Disco Love 19. 0.244 John Newman - Cheating 23. 0.209 Conor Maynard - R U Crazy (Radio Edit) This shows that despite 'Disco Love' not yet being top 10 (although it will be very soon), it has a much higher popularity number than you'd expect for outside the top 10. It should definitely get to #5 on iTunes in my opinion and depending how quick it continues to increase it could peak even higher.

October 4, 201311 yr The Irish iTunes is painfully slow. I'd worry about Disco Love, but the others are not doing better (one update they climb one spot, they next they're back down), so I guess it'll be just a matter of patience.
